Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Monday to you all! I hope that your day…and this brand new week is off to a great start; and even more, I pray that we will come to truly see that nothing can ever be greater than the greatness of almighty God…Amen!!
Last night, I was thinking on all that I have been going through recently with my health…and even with all that is going on in this world around me. Now… if I was to think a little deeper on all of this and thrive on every thought that crossed my mind; then I would think that life for me would become a little overwhelming…and these thoughts would even make me wonder, as to whether there would ever be an end to all that is happening. You know…I think the reason why we allow our thoughts to go in a direction that makes us question life and all that is taking place at the time; is because we are allowing the weight of each situation to weigh heavily upon us…to the place where we weaken in spirit…which only places our thoughts out there even more for the enemy to prey on. The thing we need to do during times such as these; is to lay all of the heavy thoughts to the side…thoughts that can truly cripple us in spirit; so God can work with them, instead of us. Before preparing for this writing today; God led me to a Bible verse in Romans 8:18, which I would like to share with you…and we read… "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." Let's say that a scale is sitting before us on a table…and we were to take one side of the scale and stack all of our heavy burdens upon it…and from there, place all of eternity in heaven on the other side of the scale. Now…I would think that this would be the time, when we would come to truly see that what we have been facing in this life, hasn't been quite as bad as what we first thought…and why…because these moments of trial are only for a short time, compared to an eternity in heaven. As I continued my study in Romans 8:18, another thing I came to see was this…if we could only have something to look forward to beyond these difficult moments we're facing…something that could actually lift our spirits to a different realm, where we aren't always face to face with the difficult times; and I would say that this would be the thought of an eternity with Christ in heaven. You know…we can't ignore the difficult times completely; because we need to deal with them; but at the same time, we need to learn how to simply put them into eternal perspective…one that can keep us from giving into what we are facing at the time. During these past few days, I have been dealing with chronic fatigue syndrome pretty bad…and just between you and me; I think we all know who is behind this. Anyways…last night God was taking me back to a time in my life, when I would have let something like this take me totally down…but not anymore…and why; because I have a different perspective on my life…and I can clearly see, as to how and why these moments come about, which is only meant to get me to stop living and quit the ministry…but it's not going to happen; because I am looking forward to the day, when I will meet my best friend ever…and spend all of eternity without these ailments; and this just won't happen, if I quit and give into all that Satan is throwing my way. Even though we face these long…and what can seem to be unending moments of pain and deep heartache; I have come to see that they will never compare to a never ending life with Christ…one that will be free from all these troubles that surround us right now. If we could only view the difficult times with the right perspective…not a temporal one; but an eternal one; then I'm sure that we would be able to lay the thoughts to the side that only seems to weight us down…to take hold of a better thought…one that says that the best is yet to come…Amen!! Have a very blessed day…and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow! God bless!
