How To Survive These Troublesome Times

9/9/2021

Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Thursday to you all! Well…another new day begins…and I don't know about you; but today I am praising God with all my heart…knowing that no matter what may surround us in this world…He is there to ALWAYS see us through…Amen!!
Last night…before going to bed, I had another great evening with the Lord…and as I poured my heart out to Him; I began to once more write down some thoughts that He was conveying from His heart to mine…so today, I would like to start out by asking you a few questions. First of all…why do we bury our feelings and allow these moments of denial to place us in a fantasy world of our own…one where we tell ourselves that everything is just fine, when it really isn't? Could this be our way of comforting ourselves…or is it our way of escaping the truth, of what is really happening around us, so we can keep the past as it's always been? Yes…we should never gather and focus on the situation at hand; but at the same time…how is God going to be there for us and help us through the difficult times we're facing, if we aren't living in a world of reality with Him? We must remember that a world of denial, only keeps us locked up in a world of our own…one where we have chosen to exist in our own man made way of protecting ourselves, from a truth that just may be to hard to handle.
As I continued my time alone with God last night; He led me to a Bible verse in John 8:32, and we read… "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Today, we need to realize that when we don't face the truth of what is actually taking place at the time; then we find ourselves bound up in a fantasy world that doesn't allow us to live and deal with the issues that surround us. Facing the truth of what is really happening in this world is never easy; but if we are ever going to experience God's hand at work, during these troublesome times; then first, we must see reality for what it really is; for facing reality is what can actually draw us closer to God's presence, while taking us further away from what is actually happening at the time.
You know…I think that we find it easier to create a world of our own…one where nothing goes wrong and is always happy; but I have come to personally see that this only leads to further problems down the road. As I look back on my life…I was actually taught that everything was always fine, even if it wasn't at the time. The only thing bad about that; is that everything I buried through denial, only kept staking up and cluttering the heart, until I fell beneath the weight of it all. Not only that…but life became even more difficult to handle later, as I quickly came to see; because what I had stored up within the heart over time…had to be eventually dealt with, which actually made life much harder for me than what I first thought.
Let's face it…sometimes living with reality can be very painful…and times such as these can make us want to hide and escape what is actually taking place at the time…especially if we don't feel that these moments will ever end; but the only thing bad about this; is that we are actually making ourselves even more distant from the One we need the most…the One who can reach out and help us during these troublesome times. We need to remember that "The good man does not escape all troubles—he has them too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one." (Ps. 34:19)…and this is the hope that God is giving us today.
Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS remember to remain in sync with God…the One who can surround you with a presence that can help you through these troublesome times!
God bless!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
