Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Wednesday to you all! I sure hope that you are doing well today…and even more…I pray that you will come to see…without a doubt; that no matter what may come your way…God is there and will ALWAYS be there for you…Amen!!
Today, I just wonder, as to how many times we have felt that the absence of a problem is the only way to feel safe and secure in this life. Quite some time back, I was going through some very difficult times in my life…moments when I can say that I didn't know if I could experience peace and a feeling of safety again. It was at this time that God began to speak words to my heart…words which have been written in my Bible for many years…and they read… "Safety is not the absence of danger; but the presence of God."
Through these words that God placed upon my heart…many years ago; I began to see that a problem doesn't have to be completely resolved, in order to feel safe in this life; but rather, we can find safety in the presence of God, even while the problem continues to rage all around us.
As I was thinking on this some more; God began to take me back to a Bible verse that He had used in my life, during those past moments of struggle…and the verse is found in Psalm 32:7, which reads… "Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah." In other words…we don't have to wait for these storms to pass, in order that we may feel at ease; for our God can hold us close and shelter us…and keep us from experiencing the blunt of the storm, until the storm has passed.
Right now, it seems as if we are all facing one thing or another…especially in this world. Many times, I think that we feel the need to beg God for help…knowing that when the problem is resolved; then life can get back on track and we don't have to worry about where these troubling times could possibly take us. Little do we know at the time; that there may be situations that don't allow God to work instantly in this way; because maybe He has a plan for what He is allowing…and just maybe that plan hasn't been made complete, according to His will and desire.
Just like there is an eye in the middle of each hurricane (storm); there is also a place of safety…found in the eye of the storms we're facing…and even though these storms can attempt to lead us to further danger; we can enter the eye of these storms and find refuge and a peace in God; that can surround us and protect us, until we have been saved from these horrible storms.
For many of us…these times we are living in right now, can make us feel surrounded by an evil that seems to be out of control. The blunt of a storm…such as this, can tend to whip us around, as we desperately cry out for God's help. Even though the storm remains and can make us feel forsaken by God…He's there with open arms…waiting for us to find safety in the shelter of His loving presence.
Maybe God doesn't always bring us to safety immediately, through the absence of a problem; but just as it says in the next verse of our Bible reading in Psalm 32, verse 8… "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye." In other words…God will help us through these times and guide us along the best pathway…a pathway that can keep us distant from danger and closer to Him…where we can remain safely watched, by a God who can be there for us, even in the midst of the worst storm…Amen!
Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS know…that no matter what; God's watchful eye is upon you!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
