Hello everyone…and how is your Tuesday? This morning, as I've been sitting here…enjoying the start to another new day; God's been reminding me, as to how important it is to live for reality…and what is taking place at the time.
Isn't it amazing, as to how we can find it so easy to fashion the difficult times, into moments that are so unreal…only to tell ourselves that everything is alright, when it really isn't? Don't we realize that while we are doing this; that we are only burying what is wrong…only to create more clutter within the heart? We need to ask ourselves this question… "How can we deal with what may arise in our tomorrow, when we haven't dealt honestly with what is taking place in our today?"
You know…I remember a time in my life…when life wasn't real. In fact…everything that was real at the time only got pushed down and ignored. Little did I know that by living an unreal life; that this would only lead me to more troubles down the road.
I just wonder how many of us are in tune with the words… "Everything's fine"…or "I'm ok…don't worry." I have come to see that words such as these can become words that attempt to convince ourselves that everything is ok, when it really isn't.
This morning, as I've been looking through some Bible verses; God reminded me of one in Matthew 6:34, which says… "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." I know that this bible verse mainly deals with worry; but as I was reading it further, I began to see how easy it is to escape the troubles that stand before us, by focusing on another day that hasn't even come into existence. Is this real? Is it that we are trying to create a life for ourselves that can ease our minds, from what is really standing before us at the time?
As I grew up…I watched my parents argue all the way to church and then become someone completely different at church…only to pick back up, from where they left off, after the church service ended. When I think on this; I see how living an unreal life can not only make the situation worse; but it can also keep us from dealing with what we should be dealing with.
Can you say today that you are living with reality? In other words, are you dealing with the state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to what you want it to be? One thing that has truly turned my life around, when it comes to living with reality; is that I am more in sync with God…working with Him, to better what is wrong, rather than just trying to sweep it all under the heart for another time.
No matter what we face, it isn't always easy to accept what is real and true; but we must remember that if we are going to progress in life and become stronger; then first, we must let go of self-blame and let God become the teacher, while we become His pupil…for when we are willing to do this; that is when we will begin to see how far a life of reality can take us.
Have a very blessed day…and I'll see ya soon!
