Lately, I have been fighting battles that I have never known before. Moments such as these can become so overwhelming that we can easily find ourselves sitting in a prison cell of despair; but after talking with God last night, He began to remind me that when we focus on every detail of these battles; that thoughts such as these only makes the battle fiercer, while keeping us tied up within these moments; but on the other hand….when we can see a different side to these battles…something that can lead us to a better place in life…a place that will take us further away from the battle; that is when I truly believe that we will be able to rise up with the strength of almighty God and press on once more.
You know…there is one thing that I have truly come to love about Paul in the Bible and it's found in Philippians 3:14…where he says… "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." In other words…Paul became a man that learned how to lay everything along the wayside except for God…so he could aim himself in the direction of the prize…something that he would eventually obtain at the end of his journey with God. From what I have read about Paul…there were times that Paul was focused so deeply on God; that he didn't even experience moments of hunger or any other deep feeling that could have taken him down. The one thing that I have come to see within my own life…in relation to what we are talking about today; is to also let the difficult times take me to a different realm with God, like Paul did…one where I can lean on God and focus on Him completely, instead of the problem; and from there…allow that problem to take me deep with God, rather than on the surface of life, where I can become even more of a prey to evil. Can you imagine the distance God can take us through the difficult times, if first we are willing to let go of a circumstance, whose only aim is to weigh us down and keep us locked up within these troubling moments. How many times are we going to pray for God's help, before we realize that the help we need already stands before us? We might as well realize that this form of help may not always come to us in the way we expect it to…or in the way the world gives it; but to me…this is a simpler help…one that comes by focusing deeply on the prize that stands before us…something that can lead us further and further away from the clutches of evil…to release us safely into the loving arms of God. The encouragement that I would like to leave with you today; is to not sit and wallow in your moments of despair; but rather, get up…shake these moments of circumstance from you and go after God with all that is within you…a God who can take you so deep with Him; that the problems you once faced will never be able to find you and torment you again. Have a very special day…and ALWAYS know that God is there…waiting to take you deeper and further away from the despair that you are facing right now! It's Always & Only Because of Him… Diane *Please feel to share & comment below. Return Back to the Main Page Comments are closed.
