Are you experiencing a moment right now, where it seems as though everything has come to a halt in your life…a time when your prayers haven't been answered…and a time when nothing seems to be taking you in a good direction…only further into the dark moments of despair? Moments such as these can make us feel as if God has forsaken us, while others around us continue to prosper and be blessed…which can attempt to lead us to a heart of deep discouragement…moments when we feel like giving up.
This morning, as I've been sitting here…spending some quiet moments with God; He began to lead me to a Bible verse in Psalm 37:7, which reads… "Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass."
Throughout most of my life, I have felt as if I have been in a world of my own…a world where others around me never seem to go through many health issues or deep moments of despair, like I have experienced throughout my life. Times such as these can bring a question to our thoughts, as to where God is. We can even experience moments when we feel as if God has abandoned us, while He continually loves and blesses others around us.
The thing that God is reminding me of today; is that even though we may experience times when life seems to come to a sudden halt…this doesn't mean that God has abandoned us; but rather, it's only because He is still at work within our lives…and He's not finished yet.
One thing I have definitely come to see and be reminded of today; is that it's Satan who longs to detour our thoughts down roads that can distance us from God and the faith that we once had in Him. We need to remember that there may be times, when we have to sit in God's waiting room, while He works to give us His very best. Even though times like these can be very difficult, we need to quiet ourselves down before God and be prayerful, while we wait on Him to finish what He has begun.
No matter what you may be facing today…and no matter how long and drawn out the circumstance has been; just know that God hasn't given up on you; for you see…He is still at work…longing to give you the very best that He has to offer you…and when we sit quietly in His presence and wait, with a prayerful heart; then a time will come, when God will step into the waiting room…to give us the answers that we have been longing for.
Have a very blessed day…and always remember that God hasn't abandoned you…to leave you as an orphan in the storm; for he is still at work…and soon He will come to you…so never give up!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
