Today, as I’ve been sitting here listening to some music…and even while spending time with God last night; I have sensed that there are many out there that are really going through some tough times right now; so today, I would like to have a personal heart to heart visit with you…because believe me, I know what it means to hurt deeply. Moments such as these can attempt to dictate our minds and hearts, while trying to lead us further down a path of despair…one that can almost seem impossible to walk away from.
As we begin, I would like to share several Bible verses with you that God has used many times within my own life…and they are found in Psalm 112:7-8, and we read… “He does not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen…for he is settled in his mind that Jehovah will take care of him. That is why he is not afraid, but can calmly face his foes.”
I don’t know about you; but when moments of struggle and circumstance hit me head on, I can find it so easy to fear these unknown moments; but I have also found that when I can hold tightly to the promises that God is giving me in this verse…promises that He will always be there to take care of me…and really believe in this with a whole heart; then the troubled waters that I once struggled to keep my head above…now seem to become calm, which replaces that fear with a settled feel…a feeling that does bring peace and reassures me that everything will be alright.
Today, you may be facing some unknown thoughts and feelings of your own…and maybe these feelings are due to your health…or the lack of a job and income…or maybe even due to some other need; but the encouragement that I would like to leave with you today; is that Jesus is there for you. Maybe the circumstances you’re facing are attempting to convince you otherwise; but one thing I can tell you today for sure; is that Jesus will not abandon you or leave you as an orphan in the storm…for He will come to you and care for you; and once we can focus our thoughts on this; that is when the circumstance won’t seem so overpowering.
Another thought that really helps and encourages me, while facing an unexpected circumstance; is to look way back to the cross and remember what Jesus gave up out of love for me. From there, I begin to say to myself…now if Jesus was willing to give up His own life out of love for me; then why would that overpowering and selfless love stop, when I need Him the most?
No matter what you may be facing today, may I encourage you to not give into the problem, by believing thoughts of deception? Instead…why not remind yourself of the loving care that Jesus longs to give you…the love that He has had for you since the very beginning of time. One thing I can say for sure; is that when we can let go of the deception that is attempting to have control over our lives and take hold of Jesus…and the love He truly has for us; that is when we will be able to calmly face our foes.
Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS know that Jesus is there for you…right now!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
