How many times do we look for God to provide in the way we think He will, rather than finding the courage to let go and trust Him for His very best? Don't we realize that when we put expectations on God; that moments such these could possibly lead us down a path of disappointment?
I remember a time in my life, when I would pray for God to provide money for this…or money for that…only to see in the end that He didn't answer my prayer in the way I first thought He would. Instead, He used those moments to show me that He truly was God…a God who holds every resource within His mighty hands…a God who doesn't need money alone to make a way for us, during a time of need. This morning as I was reading the 23rd Psalm, my attention was being taken to verse 1, which reads… "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want."…which comes to the point and says…when we allow God to be the Lord of our lives; then we have no need of anything because He will ALWAYS be there to step in and make a way for us. It's the moments when we get side tracked in life and demand Him to provide for us in a certain way; that we push Him out and miss out on the true blessing He longs to give us. Everyday, we need to say to ourselves…why in the world would I be asking for God's help…only to tell this most powerful God how to do it. I have come to see that when I let go of the situation and let Him decide, as to how my need should be met; then in the end…I truly do see how His ways are the very best. For those of you who are in great need today, I would encourage you to let go of everything you are facing and hand it over to God…and once you find the courage to do this; then just know in your heart that God will take from His many resources and make a way for you in the best way possible. I think that there can be times when we truly miss out on a blessing…because we are thinking one way, while God is thinking another way…which only creates a clash in our communication with Him. When we can truly believe the words of Psalm 1, which says… "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want;" that is when I believe that hope will also spring up through the cracks of these broken moments and will give us a settled feeling that God will ALWAYS be there to make a way for us…no matter what. Have a very blessed day…and just know that nothing is impossible with God! It's Always & Only Because of Him… Diane Return Back to the Main Page Comments are closed.
