Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Friday to you all! Well…I don't know what kind of weather you're having today; but outside my window, it's a rainy autumn day; but you know what…no matter what is happening around us…and no matter how grim it may appear to be, I have come to see that the light of God's presence can penetrate any form of darkness and truly be there for us…Praise Him!!
As we begin our time together today, I just wonder…do we realize, as Christians; that we truly have One (Christ) living within us, who understands our every weakness…and even the tiresome moments we struggle through, as a means of remaining committed to Him? I think that there can be times when we feel so lost in a world of evil; that we forget that there is a God who is greater than that evil…One who can know and understand every little thing that pertains to us. The one thing that has truly stuck with me, through a very long and difficult journey with God is this…when we choose to remain committed to God, even when it almost seems impossible to do so; then we will find that we aren't in a one sided relationship; but rather, a two sided relationship with Him, as we begin to see how He longs to also remain committed to us. Last night, as I was looking through God's word; He began to lead me to two Bible references, which I would like to share with you today…and the first one is found in Revelation 3:8, and we read… "I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name." You know…God knows us well…and I feel that he definitely knows us even more than we know ourselves. He sees the moments when we struggle to remain connected with Him, which I'm sure that we have all faced in one way or another; and He even knows that we aren't always strong and perfect, while trying to obey Him and remain committed to Him; because you see…He already knows that we live in an imperfect world. There is one thing that I would like to encourage you with today…and that is this; when we strive to do our best for God, even when these hard and difficult times don't always make it easy to do so; then I do believe that God is looking more deeply into the moments when we try and never give up, rather than the previous moments of weakness and failure. When we are able to see that we can interact with God, in a way that causes us to live for Him…while He works on our behalf; then this is when we will begin to see a greater relationship form between us and God, which can reassure us; that the One that lives with us, will always be there to pick up the slack for us…and will always be seen as One who is greater than our weaknesses…and even those who are in this evil world. In I John 4:4 (our 2nd Bible reference), we read… "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." No matter what may be raging around us, we must always remember that there is One who is and will always remain greater, than the evil that is surrounding us within this world. As we close our time together today, there is one thought that I would like to leave with you…and that is this; no matter how bad life may appear to be for you; when the Spirit of the living God is residing within your heart; then you have nothing to fear…because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in this world; and this thought alone should impower you to walk away from fear and the things that attempt to affect your life in this world, so you can truly trust in the One that you have chosen to follow through life. When you choose to walk in this direction; then you will soon find that you can be an overcomer of this evil, rather than caught within the darkness and despair of this world…and from there, you will come to see that you can walk with boldness…knowing that there is someone greater in your life, than the one who is attempting to bring you down…Amen!! Have a very blessed day…and I will hope to be with you again on Monday! Enjoy your weekend…and God bless!
