What a Day...but what a God!

12/6/2021

Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Monday to you all! I sure hope that you had a very nice weekend…and I pray that God would be with us all…through every step of this brand new week; and that we will come to truly experience a powerful God who can take us way beyond any trying moment that may come our way…AMEN!!
This past Saturday was kind of a "catch up" day for me. It seems as though my schedule has become so busy; that it's spilling over into Saturday at times…and this was one Saturday that kept me busy all day. Even though I didn't get the day off…I accomplished much and when the day was done, I came to see that even though it was quite the day…it was also quite the God that I had truly experienced, as His strength became mine, while His Spirit took me by the hand and walked me through that very busy day…Amen!
Last night, as I was looking for a Bible verse that would relate to this writing, God led me to a verse in I Corinthians 10:13, and we read… "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." When I first read this verse, I wondered if I had chosen the wrong one, as this verse seemed to relate more to temptation; but then God began to show me that this Bible verse is not only related to times of temptation; but also to times of testing…moments when Satan attempts to use any means he can, to take us down and out of commission with God.
One thing we need to take hold of through this Bible verse today; is that even though we may experience times such as these, God will never let us down…no matter what we may experience in this life; and even more, He won't allow us to be pushed beyond our limit…and when it does come to the place where we can barely cope; that is when He will step in and take control, just as I experienced Saturday…along with many other times in my life.
You know…Satan is the one who afflicts us and attempts to use that affliction to pull us down and away from God…and even life itself; but we must remember that even though he is the one who afflicts us; He does not have control over the affliction; because even though God may be allowing these trying times to enter our lives; it's God's power that supersedes the power of evil.
As I look back on Saturday, I remember a day that started out peaceful, while every moment seemed to fit together like a puzzle; but as the day wore on and I became even more tired; that is when weakness attempted to take hold of me; but as I look back even more into that day, I also remember a God who stepped in and pulled me through those difficult moments…and before I realized it, I had accomplished much more than what I first thought.
One thing we must remember, while facing trying times such as these; is to not focus deeply on what we went through and how difficult it was; but rather, we need to look beyond these difficult times and focus on what God is doing…or has already done. Once we are able to view a difficult day in this way; that is when we will regain the hope we once lost, as we think to ourselves… "What a day but what a God!"
Have a very blessed day…and remember to anticipate God's best, rather than the moments that almost brought you to defeat.
God bless…and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
