For some of us…we can find it difficult to watch others being blessed, while we seem to be the one who struggles the most. Could it be that God loves some people more than others? Let's face it…it's not always easy to understand God's ways; but there are a few Bible verses that may help us to understand this a little bit more…and they are found in Matthew 5:44-45, which reads… "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45) that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous."
First of all, we must remember that God is a God of love to all…not just the righteous. In other words…if He didn't reveal His love to everyone; then He couldn't be considered a God of perfect love, like we read about in His word. Sometimes it's not always easy for us to see it this way; because we live in a world where love is only shown by how good of person we are, which can make it even more difficult at times to comprehend God's perfect ways.
This morning, as I was doing a little bit of a study on this, I also came to see something that I had never thought about before. First…we already know that God does not and cannot condone or bless sin; but there may be times when He blesses the "sinful man," so that the "sinful man" may recognize that they are a part of His plan of love, which just may change the "sinful man" and point him back in the direction of God. This does not mean that God loves the sinner more than the righteous one; but it does show that God uses blessings in different ways.
In this world we live in…love seems to be only a reward for the one who does right, while the one who does wrong, only seems to be isolated from the rest of the world; but a God of perfect love doesn't respond to us in this way. Ask yourself this question today…would you want God to reject you, if you were a sinner? Love is not just a word; but it's displayed in a way that can change lives; just as Jesus displayed a real and perfect love on the cross.
Now that we understand that…have you ever wondered why God doesn't do the same for us, when we feel as if we struggle just as much as the sinner…only in a different way? Could it be that we are being blessed; but we just don't see it, as God is giving it out? One thing that I have come to see is that struggles aren't a punishment; but rather, they become moments of affliction that are being used by God, to work in a way that we may not understand at the time. Even though these moments can seem ongoing and endless; we are being blessed through them; because these moments of struggle are going to bring about better things in our lives, such as a greater strength and wisdom that we had never had before the struggle began. Now I would say that if we were to focus on God's reasons for blessing the sinner and the one who struggles through life; then I would say that we would come to see that God's love is an equal and perfect love for all.
No matter how much more difficult life may seem to you, than others; just remember that God loves you…and He never plays favorites with anyone; it's just that He works with different people in different ways.
Have a very blessed day and ALWAYS know that God loves you…no matter what you are going through in life!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
