Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Wednesday to you all! Well…another new day begins…and only God knows what's ahead of us; but you know what…it doesn't matter what may come our way because God's got us and He has control over every little thing we may face…Amen!!
How many times have we wondered why God allows certain things to take place in our lives…or even in this world? Here we have a God who could easily remove these afflictions from us…or even stop them from happening in the first place; but yet there's times when He chooses to allow them anyway. Lately…with all the heat and pain I've been experiencing; I have come to see how easily we can become caught up in these moments, until questions begin to flood our minds, as to what God is up to. The thing that I have been reminded of lately; is that even though these moments can seem overpowering and even make us feel as if we are being led down a road of defeat; there is a God who is still holding us above the problem. In fact…if we were to slow down and focus on what is really taking place in our lives at the moment, rather than what Satan is attempting to deceive us with; then I believe that we would truly begin to see more clearly, as to what God is using to sustain us through it all. Like I said…the heat has been something else this summer, which can cause my legs to swell and experience more pain; but as I was sitting on the daybed one night…talking with God, I began to see how easily we can bypass what God is using to sustain us through it all. For me, I began to see that I had cool water…fans and a comfortable place out of the sun, to rest this weary body of mine…and as I began to focus more and more on that; it seemed as if the weight of my problem lessened with time. As I was looking through God's word this morning, I was led to several Bible verses; but the one that seemed to stand out before me, was the one in Colossians 1:17, and we read… "And he is before all things, and by him all things consist." Just think…God has been around a lot longer than us and He already knows all about these difficult times we face…and even more, He has the power to hold everything together, when we feel as if our lives are about to crumble and fall beneath the rubble of deep despair. One thing we need to do, while facing these overwhelming moments in our lives, is to stop…relax and look at what is truly taking place at the moment…for that is when I believe that we will come to see that we haven't fallen to defeat; but rather, we have been suspended above a pit of destruction, by the strong and powerful hand of almighty God…for it says in Psalm 37:27; that "though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand." Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS remember that God's got you! It's Always & Only Because of Him… Diane Return to main blog page>>> GET YOUR FREE E-BOOK COPY OF "TIME ALONE WITH GOD" HERE!
