Words to Renew the Heart During These Troublesome Times

8/26/2021

Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Thursday to you all! I hope that your day is off to a good start…and even more, I pray from my heart to yours; that you will ALWAYS remember that no matter what happens around you…God is still there…ALWAYS working on your behalf…Amen!!
This morning, as I've been sitting here in my office, I have been thinking on how easily we can get caught up in the evil that is surrounding us right now; to the place where we feel as if it just might separate us from the God we so desperately need at this time. Even though we know that Satan isn't more powerful than God; these troublesome times have a way of making their plots and plans seem so real…that before we realize it, we begin to believe what we see before us…and from there, we begin to feel that these hard and difficult times just might place a wedge between us and God.
As I was seeking God's guidance for this writing today, He led me to some Bible verses in Romans 8:36-39, and we read… "As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37) Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
You know…the Lord never promised that these times we're facing right now would be easy times; but He is reminding us today in these verses; that even though we may feel as if we are about to be slaughtered by evil; there is still nothing or no one that can even begin to separate us from the presence of God…and the love He has for each one of us.
Lately, it seems as if something new keeps unfolding before our very eyes everyday…and as one thing keeps leading to another, we can feel as if nothing will be able to take down this evil that seems to be so controlling; but the first thing we must remind ourselves of; is that since God was on our side at the cross…through His Son's death; He will also be on our side, through these hard and difficult times we are facing…for it says in Romans 8:33… "Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth." In other words…who shall ever come against one of God's chosen ones, whom He hath forgiven and has also given right standing with Himself.
Yes…life can be so deceiving right now…to the place where we begin to feel as if nothing will change…only worsen with time; but when we feel discouraged like this…this isn't the time to fall prey to these feelings; but rather, this is the time to rise above them…and how do we do that…when we read God's word and allow His words of truth to walk us beyond these moments of deception…and once we are willing to do this, rather than accepting what is taking place around us; that is when His sustaining words of love and hope will begin to sooth our hurting hearts and souls, which will become a constant reminder to us that He is still there…Amen!!
Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS know that God's got you…no matter what you are facing!
God bless!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
