What are you feeling? | Guilt | Risen Hope Ministries

"But if we confess our sins to him, he can be depended on to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. And it is perfectly proper for God to do this for us because Christ died to wash away our sins." I John 1:9

Come, let’s talk this over, says the Lord; no matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can take it out and make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you white as wool!
" Isaiah 1:18

"And I will be merciful to them in their wrongdoings, and I will remember their sins no more.”
Hebrews 8:12

How many times, do we convince ourselves that God will never forgive or forget a wrong that has been committed within our lives? I think that what we tend to do; is compare the forgiveness of the world, with the true forgiveness, of a God that loves us so much. In this imperfect world we live in, we experience moments, when people become angry and unforgiving to us, which only allows our self-esteem to plummet, while we find ourselves in a deep, dark pit of despair; where there seems to be no way out.

The verses above should become messages, from God's heart to ours; that He is more than able to forgive the wrong in our lives...even if it appears to be the worse sin ever. One thing that can help us to overcome guilt; is to reflect back to Calvary; where Jesus loved us so much; that He was willing to walk beyond every fault and every sin; that we would ever commit, to love and forgive us. When we come to the place, where we can separate Jesus from the world and the way that others react to our problems; then we will be able to live with peace, rather than the guilt that only imprisons us within our hearts.
