Good evening everyone! Welcome on this Friday night, to the Heart to Heart Blog! I hope that your day was a good one and I also hope that you will enjoy our time together tonight!
Well…I am sitting here in my office this evening…enjoying a break from a busy day…just Mr. Moose and myself! Right about now, you are probably wondering, who is this Mr. Moose? Well…he’s my buddy and what I call the ministries mascot. He is a cute little stuffed moose; that my husband bought for me in Montana…quite a while back and he likes to either sit near my laptop or up in the windowsill and watch me work.
Mr. Moose is not only the ministries mascot; but he’s also a famous character, in one of my newest children’s story/coloring books…“The Wilderness Gang.” He and his friends…Mrs. Raccoon…Mr. Crow and Professor Squirrel are a gang of animals; that help all the hurting animals in the forest; that are being bullied by a mean old bear. In fact, this is a really good story/coloring book, for children that are being bullied or just feel alone in life. If you would like to check it out…just click here!
Anyways...my day started out kind of busy! In fact, it was amazing that everything got done right. I was balancing so many different things at once; that by time I was finished, I was definitely ready to spend some quiet moments alone with God!
After what appeared to be a morning that flew right by me; I decided to leave my office and do my Friday cleaning. I didn’t quite know if my legs were going to like it this morning; but I decided to go and give it a try anyways.
Before leaving my office, I remembered that I had these really soft…kind of a swede boot slipper, which is the best kind of slipper for me because it holds everything from my ankle down together…lol…and even better…these slippers make you feel like you’re walking on pillows, which sounded really good to me today!
Once I was comfortable and ready to tackle the dirt, I went and got my duster and all those cleaning supplies that are supposed to kill everything; then I headed for the office. As I began to take things apart and clean, I was beginning to feel like these slippers weren’t really a good idea, as I began to get those bulky slippers caught in some wires. Right about then, I began to wonder if my idea was going to make matters worse for myself; so I decided that either me and the slippers were going to have to part company or I was going to have to be very careful. After thinking it over for a bit, I decided that I needed the slippers more; so I did my best, to finish up and leave the disaster zone.
You know…it’s amazing, as to how many things we need to trust God for, in our daily lives. For me…I need Him every minute and second of my day! I know without a doubt that He is the One, who keeps me walking, thru moments of pain and even encourages me; so I will keep pursuing life and never give up. How could I ever make it, without my close companion? There’s just no way that I could do that!
No matter what we face or have to do in a day, I have come to see that we can do anything; that puts us to the test. We may have to do things a little different than others; but we can do it, with God’s help.
Today, I was telling my husband, how most of my life has been thinking different and doing things different, due to the condition of my legs…but you know what? My life may not be as easy as others; but it is easier because of the One, who teaches me and instructs me…through the moments that could really be impossible without Him.
You know…today has really been a good day…even thru the painful moments…and most of all, I have enjoyed this evening with you! I hope you will have a great night…a night, where you experience the peaceful presence, of a loving God. Take care and I will see you again Sunday evening, as I share some thoughts from the weekend with you, along with the goodness, of a great…loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings so much on your night…and your weekend!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
