 Good Friday evening everyone…and a big welcome tonight, to the Heart to Heart Blog! It’s so good to be back with you this evening! I’ll tell you…it’s been a busy week; but I can truly say that my God has been faithful through it all!
As we begin our visit together tonight, I would first like to remind you that I will be updating the Sunday Inspiration page this evening…and it will be available to you, by tomorrow morning…at the earliest. The title for this week’s writing is…“Walking through the Fire with God.” Do you feel as though you are walking through a fiery trial alone? Do you feel as though nothing seems to get better for you…and you wonder where God is? If so; then I would like to invite you to come and check out Sunday Inspiration this weekend. With God’s help, I have chosen some inspiring music…a great Bible reading and a beautiful and powerful thought for the week…plus this great God inspired writing. After going to bed a little earlier…I was fast asleep in no time…that is, until around 2:00 am. After getting up to the bathroom, I looked at the clock and thought to myself…oh wow…I still have about 4 ½ hours to sleep, which is a big thing to me. Once I returned back to bed, I burrowed into my pillow and began to get comfortable again. Just as I was about to go to sleep; it seemed as though I was being bombarded by evil. Every thought of worry or care from the week began to invade my thoughts and before I knew it…I was wide awake again. As I laid there on the bed, I began to ask God for His help and within a short time, a Bible verse came to my thoughts, from Psalm 112:7-8, which reads… “He does not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen; for he is settled in his mind that Jehovah will take care of him. That is why he is not afraid but can calmly face his foes.” I would say that within a few minutes, of being reminded of this Bible verse; I felt as though God was wanting me to keep repeating this verse...over and over again…so I did…and within a time or two of repeating the verse…I was back to sleep, until morning. You know…I thank God so much, for the loving care He gives me, when evil attempts to have control over my life…and I have come to see…numerous times; that we don’t have to remain in the clutches of evil, as though we are caught within evil’s web; but rather, we can turn to a God, who can bring us out of these moments that just seem too powerful for us to come out of on our own. No matter what you face…whether it is at night or during the day; call out to God and let Him be the strength you need, while facing these powerful moments of weakness. Believe me when I say…I KNOW He will bring you through it all! Well…time for me to get some dinner and finish up for the evening! It sure was good to be back with you tonight and I truly hope that you will take some time this weekend, to visit Sunday Inspiration. My prayer for you, as we close; is that you will have a great night of peace and rest…surrounded by the presence of a loving and caring God…and that your weekend will be filled with blessings from above!
