Heart to Heart Blog with Diane K Hiltz Chamberlain
Good Tuesday evening everyone…and a big welcome tonight, to the Heart to Heart Blog! I am so glad to be back with you this evening…and I am truly looking forward to our visit tonight!

As we begin our time together, I would like to tell you a story and this story is a true story…a story that actually has a good ending. If you remember several days ago, I mentioned that our overseas friend…along with six other apartment complexes full of people had their electricity meters blow up on them, due to such high temperatures. Anyways, for several days now, our friend has been without water, due to a water pump that runs by electricity, which meant that he was unable to take showers…wash clothes…do dishes or any other kind of thing that required water. On top of all of this, he couldn’t even use a fan to keep cool…through daytime temperatures that hit the low 100’s and night time temperatures that hit the mid to upper 80’s. Then there was the question, as to how he would be able to keep his phone charged; so we could remain in contact.

After receiving this news…this past Saturday, my husband and I began to pray for our friend…and for God to provide a way to pay for this meter, as it was going to cost him $350. By time, we had reached Sunday morning…God was already at work…as He began to send our friend some rain and cooler temperatures. In that alone, I knew that God was caring for him, until something could be done.

Since there was no way to get anything done on Sunday…we would have to wait out the remainder of the weekend and see what could be done on Monday.  After our friend returned to a job that only pays $100 a month, for working 9 hours a day…six days a week; his boss noticed that he wasn’t his normal happy self; so his boss called him into his office and asked him what was wrong and from there; he told his boss what had happened. At first, his boss was going to give him a loan for $150, if we could come up with the remainder of the money needed; but with my husband and I already supporting him…that just wasn’t going to happen; so I contacted a church that had mentioned to me a while back; that if I ever needed anything…to just contact them...so, as this was coming back into my thoughts…I contacted this church but didn’t get a reply…and time was running out.

After spending time with God…earlier last night…my heart was breaking so deeply for our friend; that I just eventually went to bed. As I crawled into bed…there were no words that could be spoken at all; so I left everything with God and went to sleep.

When I got up this morning; there was a part of me that was hoping for some good news; but at the same time, I was also finding it difficult to make my daily morning call to our overseas friend…but I did anyway.

As our friend picked up the phone and began to talk with me, I began to see that he had more news to share with me. He mentioned that his boss had asked him back into his office once more…to help him get started with the loan; but as they sat there together, our friend mentioned that he wouldn’t be able to do it because he didn’t have any other way to raise the remainder of the money needed for the meter. From there, his boss was complimenting him on his work and how he wanted to help him…because he didn’t want this problem to affect his job; so after some more talk…his boss mentioned that if he could gather together the amount that he could give; then they would match it. After talking with me…I told him that I could give him $60 until payday and they agreed; so as of my tomorrow morning, our friend should have his electricity back…and the best thing about this story; is that this blessing landed on his birthday and the person that actually helped him the most, was a Muslim.

Our friend has had this job with this boss, for a couple years now and I have seen over time, how God has used his humble spirit, to be a great testimony to this Muslim boss. At Christmas, his boss even gave him some money, for a hot cup of tea…even though he doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ…and now, he is helping our friend, in a very giving way…a way that should also be seen in Christians; but sad to say…I don’t see that very often.

You know…at first, I never understood why God put our friend, in such a busy job…with little pay; but now I’m beginning to understand how God has put him there for a reason that seems to be unfolding…bit by bit.

In our friends country…the Christian gets second place in everything; but from what I am seeing now…this Christian friend of ours seems to be moving up…and I truly believe that it’s God that’s taking control and using this situation at the same time.

No matter what we go through…God can make a way for us; in the least expected way. If we could just quit expecting it to happen, in the way we feel it will happen and start anticipating God’s next move; then I believe that we would truly see a powerful God at work within our lives.

Well…I’ve enjoyed our visit tonight; but it’s time for me to go, as I have more work to do this evening. I pray that your night will be filled with peace, from the Prince of all Peace and that your Wednesday will be truly blessed by God! Take care…have a good night and I will hope to be back with you tomorrow evening, as I share more thoughts from the day, along with the goodness of a great, loving and powerful God…heart to heart!
Blessings on your night!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
