Hello everyone and welcome back to “Moments Spent with God!” I am so glad to be back with you today! You know…we can experience moments, when we just feel as if we will never make it through a day…let alone a New Year. Every task that lies before us or every moment of circumstance can dictate thoughts that say that we will never make it; but yesterday, I came to truly see how God’s strength can fill the empty voids and help us to press on…no matter what we may be facing at the moment.

Yesterday, as I was waking up very early, to begin my day; I sat up in bed and thought for a moment…what is happening today and then it all became clear to me; that it was going to be a very busy day. Don’t you just love waking up with blank thoughts and then all of a sudden, it’s as if a bomb is dropped on your head; that quickly reminds you, of what is about to take place in your day?

Anyways…I could tell that Satan knew that I was already tired; but as I caught on to his deceptive thoughts; that were attempting to remind me that I couldn’t make it through a day like this; I began to recite Philippians 4:13, which says… “I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me.” Do we realize that this verse does not put limitations on God but instead, it says that we can do ALL things through Christ…and why…because of the strength we obtain through Him.

I wonder why we always feel that we have to handle life alone. Don’t we realize; that when we think this way; that we are only headed for a fall? We need to realize that we are the ones with limited strength and when we try to depend on our own strength; then we begin to see our strength, as a strength that can only go a certain distance, which only leads to no hope and finally…giving up.

How many times, do we sit and convince ourselves that we can’t make it through a circumstance? One thing I know…is that the words “I can’t;” truly becomes the path that leads to failure.  Just as our faith allows us to move on to better things…the words “I can’t” only takes us to a place, where we experience the results of what we didn’t believe we could do.

We are only about 4 days away from a New Year and there may be some, who may be telling themselves today; that this year ahead, just isn’t going to be a good one. We need to remember one thing…our words can actually take us by the hand and lead us in the direction, of what we first instructed them to do. In other words…we can find ourselves following after our thoughts and words and from there, we will soon find that they will either lead us to something good or something worse…depending on what we were thinking or speaking at the time.

In Philippians 4:8-9, it says that when we think on the things that are good; then the God of peace will be with us; so if we are anticipating the good things that could happen in this New Year; then we can rest assured; that no matter what may come our way…God will be there to walk with us, every step of the way.

So what are you thinking on today, as you prepare to enter the New Year? Can you say for sure that your thoughts and words are going to lead you in the direction, of better things to come? One thing that I have truly come to see; is that when my mind is fixed on Christ, rather than the problems that surround me; then I know without a doubt that God will be there, to give me the strength I need, to walk through the difficult moments, until He is ready to lead me to His very best.
Have a great day with God! God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
