Hello everyone and welcome back to “Moments Spent with God!” I am so glad to have you with me today! My prayer is that we will truly come to discover something new that we can hold to…something that will lift us to our feet and strengthen us, in a brand new way.

Lately, I have been facing new challenges in my life, like more pain…tiredness and sometimes moments of deep heartache. You know…how is it that we come out of one problem…only to enter something new…something that seems to make life even more difficult?

Yesterday, as I was in the middle of my work, I was thinking on this and wondering why God allows these moments to continually come at us. It seemed like it was only minutes later, when God opened up my thoughts and gave me the answers to my question. He spoke softly to my spirit about 2 things. First, He gently reminded me; that life is always going to be one long and drawn out battle because as we are aiming to remain committed to Christ; Satan is in the background…devising a plan that can attempt to take us down and out of commission with God.

The second thing God spoke to my heart about; is that even though Satan is attempting to bring us down through these difficult moments; God also has His plan and His plan is to use, what Satan devises against us, as a means of strengthening us, in a much greater way. Maybe God sees our vessel, as a vessel that is fragile and weak…a vessel that could use some repair work…a vessel that could be made to endure other difficult moments that may come our way. No matter what the purpose is behind these difficult moments; it is a comfort to know that God does have control, over what seems to be out of control within our lives.

If I was to tell you the thing that I struggle with the most in my life; that would be my past because you see…I was raised in a dysfunctional home and my grandfather was the one, who sexually abused me. When I fell to my lowest point in life, I remember one thing and that was when a counsellor said to me… “Diane, we can’t make the memories go away but we can teach you how to cope with them.” I’m sure that you would agree, when I say that Satan definitely knows what weak buttons to push. It seems that as I have come out of one thing in my life, he continually attempts to lead me back into another pit of despair but if you noticed, I said the word “attempts” because even though Satan works overtime to bring us down; there is a God that is much stronger…a God that is more than capable of hearing our cries for help...and a God who can rescue us and free us from these pits of despair.

I guess that we can look at life this way…even though the battles can become fierce; the things that Satan is attempting to do to us, are actually giving us a nudge that helps us to keep going in God’s direction. In other words…God is using the trial to teach us new things; so His wisdom can produce new growth and a greater strength…a strength that can keep us pressing on, so we don’t give up and give into life’s problems.

I’m sure that you have your own struggles, just as I do but no matter how many storms pass our way; we need to keep our focus on the One, who can once more step in and defeat these works of darkness; that attempt to take us down.

May you truly feel the powerful presence of God in your life, while walking down life’s difficult pathways!
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
