Hello everyone! Today, I would like to welcome you, to Moments Spent with God! I am so glad you stopped by for a visit today and I truly pray that your day is off to a great start! As we spend these quiet moments alone with God, my prayer is that we will truly connect to what God has for us and that we will find these moments to be uplifting…to a place, where we can truly rise above the despair in our lives!
You know…as I have walked through some very difficult times in my life, I have truly come to see; that there is a way to rise above the despair in our lives. Even though a trial may present itself to us…face to face; that doesn’t mean that we have to allow it to control our lives in this way.
Yesterday…as I began a new week, I was facing several obstacles in my day; but what was amazing to me; is that the work I did accomplish, was probably better than the work I would do on an ordinary work day, while experiencing no problems. As I sat…scratching my head and wondering how that happened, I came to see that God was right there beside me…facing those obstacles with me. You see…He knew my heart and everything that was going on, before I even spoke a word to Him and from what I can see; He stepped in and lifted me above the moments that were truly attempting to take me down and He showed me that I could still achieve something great with His help, even while facing these obstacles.
I wonder how many times, we have recited Philippians 4:13…without even grasping onto the power that is contained within this verse? In this verse, we learn that we can do all things…that means anything…even the things that seem to be the most impossible…and how is that? It’s because of a strength that comes from a powerful God…a strength that enters our weakness and lifts us high above despair; so the weakness can no longer control us…only the power that comes from an undefeated God.
We must remember today; that when we give into a circumstance; then we will always find ourselves face to face with it…where Satan can continually use the problem to abuse us. One thing I have truly discovered throughout my journey with God; is to never, never allow a circumstance to abuse me. I have come to see that when we use the problem; that Satan intended to destroy us with; then we weaken the power of evil. For example…there are many days, when my chronic pain has me exhausted or the week has drained me of all my strength…and to be honest with you…there have been times, when I think on how it would be so nice, to just stay in bed; but then God reminds me that I have work to do for Him and when I give into the tiredness; then that is just where Satan would like me to be…out of commission with God and attached to the problem. Even though life can be a struggle for me at times; I do find that when I am deeply connected with God; then the pain and tiredness soon become a thing of the past.
I truly believe that when we fall prey to our weaknesses; then we are only allowing evil to increase in strength, while weakening a powerful God. When we can go that extra mile with God, I believe that we will truly see how limitless He can be in our lives.
No matter what obstacles are standing before you right now; let God take you to a higher realm, where you can connect with a strength and power that can truly help you to remain above the despair in your life. When we choose to do this, we soon find that even though the problem remains; the burden does become lighter.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
