Hello everyone! It’s so good to be back with you today, on Moments Spent with God! My prayer today; is that we will truly discover God’s way of rising above the painful moments in our lives; that we may experience the fullness of God, rather than the fullness of the problem.
You know…we all seem to have days, when we feel as if we are struggling just to keep one foot in front of the other. We can even experience moments, when we begin to think that it would be easier, to just give into what is weighing us down, rather than fighting what seems to be a continuous battle.
I have noticed that when I have a great day of work…but yet I am tired and drained, from all that I had been doing throughout the day; that Satan seems to attempt to feast on my weakness and even find ways to discourage me.
Yesterday…after a full day’s work, I was so excited…for all that had been accomplished throughout the day; but as the day came to an end…the pain seemed to kick in and the tiredness with it. As I was preparing to go back into my office and work a little more; it was as if God was encouraging me with a song and it goes a little like this… “When you're up against a struggle that shatters all your dreams and your hopes have been cruelly crushed by Satan's manifested schemes…and you feel the urge within you to submit to earthly fears; don't let the faith you're standing in, seem to disappear
praise the Lord; He can work through those who praise Him…praise the Lord, for our God inhabits praise…praise the Lord, for the chains that seem to bind you; serve only to remind you that they drop powerless behind you, when you praise the Lord.”
You know…it’s not only Satan’s desire to afflict us, during times of weakness; but I’m sure that he is also waiting around the corner, to see how we react to the difficult moments; he throws our way. I wonder how he would react, if we were to praise God, during these difficult moments, rather than allowing the problem to overtake us. I’m sure that we would probably surprise him, as he is probably waiting for us to fall to pieces, rather than lift our hands to God and praise Him, in the midst of this distress.
One thing I have truly come to see within my life…is how praise can definitely become a weapon to deaden the works of darkness. It’s as if Satan attempts to confine us within a problem that can make us feel as if we have been shackled to a prison wall; but when a heart of praise goes up into the heavens…in the midst of this darkness; then the power of that praise begins to shake loose the trial that once bound us up and kept us imprisoned, until we find ourselves closer to God and further away from the clutches of evil.
You know…it’s not always easy, to honestly and whole-heartedly praise God, while experiencing the side effects of a deep embedded problem because these problems we face have a way of taking us down; but when we can see God as the lifeline to hold to…the one we can love, as He loves us; then we will have the desire and strength, to reach up through the darkness, as we aim to take hold of the light that can shatter and free us, from these shackles of despair.
Blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
