Bible Verse for the Day | I John 4:18
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."
Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Tuesday to you all! I am so glad that you came to pay me a visit today…and I pray that as we spend this time alone with God; that we will truly discover words of encouragement that can help us during these troubled times; that we may continue to press on with Him…Amen!
The other night, while sharing my heart with God, I began to think on why we struggle with worry, doubt and fear. I know that I can have days, when my faith is sky high, while other days seem to be more of a struggle, to remain free from fear. Sometimes I think it's because I'm just trying to adjust to all the changes in this world around me. It's amazing, as to how we can start out with fear behind us and faith before us; and then before we realize it…faith seems to move to the back, while worry, doubt and fear lead the way.
Anyways…as I was thinking on all of this the other night, God began to show me why we struggle with these negative emotions, as He took me to our Bible verse for the day, in I John 4:18, which reads… "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."
After reading this verse in the Bible, I began to think even deeper…and through those thoughts, I came to see how God's perfect love truly does keep us from worry, doubt and fear…or really any other negative thought or feeling that may arise; because being attached to a perfect love…one that has no flaws; reassures us that this perfect love can never allow anything to harm us, disappoint us or even let us down. Think about this for a minute…we struggle with trust, from other people who let us down; but those are flaws that stem from an imperfect life…in an imperfect world, which can actually sidetrack our thoughts, when it comes to believing in a perfect love that comes from a perfect God. Let's face it…we have never truly experienced a perfect love here on earth, so how can we comprehend that kind of love and truly know what it's like to experience a perfect love, without first, being drawn into that kind of love….and how do we do that; we come to know that kind of love, when our connection with God becomes greater, as though His love keeps drawing us deeper and deeper within Himself, which from there, allows our faith and trust in Him to grow stronger, as we see that perfect love go into action. From there, we find that we become more and more convinced that God really loves us…and is on our side, which eliminates worry, doubt and fear, while allowing our faith in Him to become stronger…to the place where we absolutely know without a doubt; that with this perfect love by our side, we no longer have a reason to even think that anything could ever go wrong.
The one thing we must focus on right now; is that worry, doubt and fear are something that is meant to torment us. Now tell me, how can we experience this form of torment, while experiencing a flawless and perfect love? Remember…a perfect love is stronger and greater than something that is imperfect, like fear; so, when we truly come to believe in the perfect love that God has for us; then wouldn't you say that this kind of love is sufficient for us and all we need…one that has no room for worry, doubt or fear to enter?
We must realize that the moments when we experience worry, doubt, fear…or even a lack of faith; is only because we are not made perfect in love. In other words, we have not been fully convinced that God loves us, which causes us to experience a weak and imperfect faith, in what God can truly do for us.
The thing that I would like to leave you with today; is that a perfect love casteth out everything but the presence of God. If we want to experience God, rather than the negative thoughts and feelings that attempt to control our lives; then first, we need to draw closer to Him, rather than drawing closer to what's wrong…or what could even go wrong. Once we spend time with God, rather than the problem; that is when our relationship with Him will grow…and from there, we will come to see that this perfect God…with a perfect love can never let us down, which will keep us distant from worry, doubt and fear.
Well…I don't about you; but with every visit, I'm learning more and more. My prayer for all of us today; is that we will no longer allow these negative emotions to have control over our lives; that we may truly come to experience a perfect love, from a perfect God…a love that will always be there, to care for our every need.
Have a very blessed day…and I hope that you will join me again tomorrow, for another great God inspired visit! May God truly bless your heart with His very best! Bye for now.
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
