Bible Verses for the Day | Isaiah 30:21
"And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left." (KJV)
"If you wander from the right path, either to the right or to the left, you will hear a voice behind you saying, “You should go this way. Here is the right way.” (ERV)
Hello everyone…and how is your Tuesday? I'm enjoying what seems to be an early autumn morning. I don't know about where you live; but it seems as though we went right from summer to fall…but that's fine with me, because it's been a very hot summer.
This morning, as I've been sitting here looking out my window, while enjoying a peaceful morning with God; I've been thinking on how God truly cares for us, at a time when we just don't always know how to care for ourselves. As some of you know, I have been very tired lately, due to much pain and quite the workload. I don't know exactly how long it's been; but I have been staying up late…spending some time alone with God, as a means of prepping for our visit the following morning.
Saturday night, as I was beginning to spend time alone with God, I became a little frustrated because my thoughts seemed to be mixed up within my tired mind. From there, I decided to open my Bible and read some Bible verses that could encourage me…and help me not to give into what I was facing at that time. While thumbing through some Bible verses; God began to speak deep within my thoughts and spirit, as though to say… "Diane, I want it from the heart…not the mind." Even though I didn't fully understand what He was trying to convey to me at the time; I somehow knew that God was already working on a solution to my problem, so I let it go for the night and went to bed.
The following morning…I came into the office with nothing…only a heart that was open to Him and not myself. As I sat in His presence…thoughts and words began to flow through my spirit…and before I realized it, we had come together and shared a beautiful heartfelt writing with you, titled… "Season Change | Encouragement for Difficult Times."
After writing that morning…the words that God had shared with my heart the night before, began to come alive and very real to my heart. In fact, I came to see that God was now shifting some things around in my life, so I could get more rest. Instead of feeling the need to prep the night before, with a tired mind; He showed me that all I needed to do was simply trust His heart, so I could relay His encouragement to you from my heart. So now, I am going to bed earlier. In fact, last night, I was so exhausted that I went to bed around 8:30 and slept for 9 hours. Today, I am at peace; for God has helped me to find the remedy to my problem.
I just wonder…how many times do we work and work and work, to find a solution to a problem that only He can solve? We seem to cry out for God's help; but where do we go from there? Are we listening for that still small voice that can lead us to the solution we so desperately need…or are we continuing on, while remaining stuck in the muck and mire of our own despair?
One thing I know today; is that God truly longs to help us; but first, we must be willing to let go of the moments that are attempting to keep us from that help. Through these moments I've recently faced, I've come to see that we must allow ourselves to remain empty…with an open heart before Him; for this gives Him room to move in and work as only He can do.
Today, do you feel as if God isn't listening to you? Have you begged Him repeatedly to help you, but yet no response? Maybe it's time to just let it all go…and be open to Him, rather than the problem. I've truly come to see that when we ask for His help; then we must also be open to how He may want to help us; for in this way, we are tearing down the roadblocks, so He can step in and help us…in a way that can truly become the remedy to these difficult times.
Well…it's been another great morning with you and God! I sure hope that your heart was inspired, just as mine was…and I pray that your day will be a very special one…and that you will come back again tomorrow and join me for another great God inspired visit! Take care…and may God truly bless your heart!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
