BIBLE VERSES FOR THE DAY
"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah."
Psalm 68:19 | "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:" Psalm 103:2
Hello everyone…and how is your Tuesday!? For some of you, it may be an exciting day…filled with exciting things to do, while some of you may be struggling to just enter another new day, due to something that you're facing at this time. For those of you who may be struggling with a problem right now, I have come to see that there is a way to feel uplifted and filled with hope, while facing these hard and difficult times of life…and this is what we are going to talk on, as we begin our time together today.
Yesterday, I was talking with someone…someone who had been going through a lot of hard times recently. As we talked, they were mentioning that they weren't sleeping well, due to so many things occupying their thoughts. The first thing I mentioned to them; is that worry and thoughts such as these only come from Satan…and they are meant to torment a life that is already hurting.
Later, as our conversation began to come to a close, I suggested that maybe they should count their blessings, rather than the problems that had been coming at them recently…and from there, it was as though their eyes we're now being opened up to what I was conveying to them…as they agreed fully, to what I had just suggested.
After finishing my visit with this individual, I began to think even more on what we had just talked about. You know, for me…I can be facing a lot of pain in my day; that I tend to forget the blessings that God has bestowed upon me, as a means of making my life easier to get through. For example…I used to have to take a cab with my husband to get groceries, which was no simple task for me. First, I had to get to the store with one stiff leg…and another leg that was paining. Then from there, I had to go through almost the entire store like this and shop. From there, I had to wait outside on a cement sidewalk, for close to an hour or more…for the cab to come back and pick us up. By time I reached home, I was in quite a bit of pain. Since that time…God heard my cry and has truly blessed me; because I can now shop from my daybed on the computer and have the groceries delivered to our home. One thing I do have to remind myself of from time to time; is that even though the pain can get out of control…and I can feel as though I can't even sit on the daybed and shop…I have been blessed and God has made the way easier for me.
I don't know what you've been going through lately; but I have been experiencing a lot of pain; but yet, as I lay my tired body on the bed…I seemed to thank God even more for the little things, like a soft bed and pillow to rest on. In fact, I would say that I thank God for these little things even more, than if I wasn't experiencing the pain and tiredness at all.
The one thing that God has opened up to me this morning; is that when we count our problems, rather than our blessings; then we are only opening up the back door of our hearts to Satan. In other words, counting our problems only opens us up to more problems. Maybe we struggle to see a blessing, while experiencing a problem; but I have found that when I look for a blessing in the midst of it all; then it's as if a match has been lit within the dark moments of despair, which to me, becomes a glimpse of hope…one that helps me to rise above the difficult times, so I can continue to press on.
As we close our visit together today, may I encourage you with the words that God has encouraged my own heart with; and that would be to look for the little blessings that seem to be hidden in the rubble of what has taken place in your life; and once you find those blessings…hold tightly to them and let them become a reminder to you that God is faithful and good…and that He will continue to bless you even more, through the times that you are experiencing right now.
Today, I praise God for these words of inspiration that truly have come from His heart to ours! Oh how we need this encouragement right now. Maybe it may not seem to be much, with all the evil that's surrounding us in this world; but it's something…something that can grow with time, to become even more of a blessing to us in days to come!
Well…what can I say…God is so good to us…and I hope that these words have truly touched your heart, as they have mine! Right now, it's time for me to go back to work; but I hope that you will come back and join me again tomorrow, for another great God inspired visit! God bless you so much!
