Bible Verse for the Day | Isaiah 43:19
"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
Hello everyone…and how is your Thursday? I sure hope that it's going well for you today! You know…we can face times, where we feel lost within a wilderness of a problem…to the place where we can't see any hope of walking out of these times, so today, I pray that God would fill each one of us with a hope that will help us to leave these dark and dreary moments behind; that we may discover something brand-new…Amen!
Just yesterday, I was thinking back to a time, when I felt so lost within a wilderness of despair. In fact, the darkness that surrounded me at the time, made me feel as if I would never find my way out. No matter which direction I took, I always seemed to be right back to the place where I first began. Later, I came to see that I was only going in circles; because I was trying to take the lead and figure my own way out, rather than following God. Once I made Him my sunshine by day…and my moonlight by night; that was when I was able to find my way out of the darkness…and back into the light.
So many times, we sit and pray for God to help us; but where do we go from there? Are we willing to just sit quietly for a moment and listen for His still small voice within our spirits…or are we in such a hurry; that we grow impatient and try it again on our own? One thing I know…we will never find our way out of these difficult times on our own. The way I see it; is if God allowed this to take place in our lives; then He would be the only One who would know how to free us.
Have you ever stopped to think on this…when we attempt to lead the way; then we are also leading the One who already knows the way. In other words, we have it backwards, which is only going to keep us lost within a wilderness of despair that much longer.
The Bible verse that God has chosen for me to share with you today, from Isaiah 43:19 is one of my very favorite Bible verses; because it is saying that God's already on it…working on something new to free us from these dark and dreary moments…and just think…all He is asking of us; is to simply follow Him, so He can walk us into it. Again…when we choose to figure the way out on our own; we only find ourselves going in every direction but the right one, which only keeps us lost within the problem. If we are ever going to find our way out of the wilderness of despair; then we need to quit following after our own plans and ideas…and be willing to listen to that still small voice within us…the one that can give us the right directions we need, to walk out of these times.
As we close, let me ask you a question… "Why are we looking for God to free us, in the way we feel He should do it, when He just may be using this wilderness of despair, to allow something new to spring up before us…something that can truly reveal how powerful of a God He really is?" I think that sometimes God is trying to get our attention and say…"There it is…can't you see it…it's right before you;" but because we aren't looking in His direction and following Him…we never seem to find it.
We need to realize that when we cannot see a way out of a wilderness of despair…God can…and He can carve a path before us that will make a way, when there seems to be no way; but we will never find that path that can lead us out of a wilderness of despair, until we are willing to follow Him, rather than ourselves.
Well…it's been another good visit…and my prayer for you today; is that these words that God has given us all, will sink deep within your spirit and give you the strength to let go of yourself; that you may take hold of a God who can truly lead you out of your wilderness of despair.
Have a very blessed day…and I hope that you will come back again tomorrow and join me for another great God inspired visit! Until then…may the Lord God bless and keep you close to Him…Amen!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
