Bible Verse for the Day | Deuteronomy 31:8
"And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed."
Hello everyone…and welcome back to the "Sharing & Caring Blog!" It's just so good to have you with me today! I pray that as we begin our visit together; that we will truly come to see that God is always one step ahead of us…knowing every need of the heart…Amen!
Monday evening, after finishing a busy day, I decided to get around for the evening and relax. Everything was going just fine, until I turned on my blow dryer. I would say that as I was turning on the switch…the power in the bathroom was turning off. I thought to myself…what a way to end the day. As I continued to think on what may have gone wrong, I decided to go and check out the breaker switch…and when I did, everything appeared to be just fine. After trying a couple of things, I decided that it was time to call our landlord. As I talked with him on the phone, he seemed to know just what might be wrong, so we scheduled a time for him to come out to the house the following morning.
When he arrived the next day, he did several things to see what the problem may be: but still no power in the bathroom. As I sat on the couch in the living room…thinking on this, I remembered that when Keith and I cleaned the office; that there was a bad outlet behind the desk that I wanted to talk with him about…and it was on the opposite side of the bathroom wall. I knew that God had placed this on my mind…thinking that it just might possibly be related to the problem in the bathroom, so I went and told him about it.
After checking the outlet, he found two badly burnt wires inside the outlet, which were connected to the outlet and light in the bathroom, so he went to work to fix that. Once he finished, the power in the bathroom came back on. From what I could see, after talking with the landlord…it was the blow dryer that shut off the power and prevented us from a fire. Later that evening, I came to see that God was one step ahead of me…and it was Him who allowed the power to be shut off, as a means of preventing something much worse, than what had already happened.
You know…we can go through a bad circumstance…and we can wonder why God allowed it to happen…never thinking that He could have seen something up ahead; that could have become more of a problem, then the problem we're already facing.
Quite some time back, I had heard a song…where it talked on how God was on the other side of the storm…and where we could only see rain; He could see the sunshine of a new dawn. You know…this week, I've been reminded, as to how God sometimes has to allow something bad to enter our lives, as a means of keeping us from something much worse. Just because He may remove something from us; that doesn't mean that He is out to make life miserable for us; but rather, it just could be that this is His way of protecting us from something that we can't see at the time. So, while we are questioning His ways; He is working to keep us from the traps that Satan sets up, as a means of bringing our lives to total destruction. So, as we close our time together, remember one thing…when you face a circumstance that you just can't quite understand, it just might be that God is ahead of you…working to keep you from something much worse.
As I sit here right now…I praise God for His watchful care over me and my husband…and even more, I thank Him for always being one step ahead of me!
Well…it's time for me to move on; but I sure have enjoyed our visit today! As we part ways until tomorrow, I pray that God will always give you the wisdom to understand the reason, for times that you just may not always fully understand! Have a very blessed day…and I hope you will join me again tomorrow, for another great God inspired visit! May God truly bless your heart with His very best! See ya soon!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
