Hello everyone! I sure hope that you are enjoying your Friday! I'll tell you…it's been a busy week for me; but oh, what a God I serve! I don't know about you; but I could never make it without Him. He is with me in the morning when I'm working…in the kitchen when I'm cooking and He's even there…holding me up, when I struggle to walk…praise Him for that!
Yesterday, as I was looking through some past writings…thinking on what I'd like to share with you today, I came across an interesting title… "A Sadness that Betters the Heart." Right about now, you are probably wondering what that means. Well…what caught my attention about this title; is that most times we see laughter as the best medicine for the soul; but do we realize that moments of sadness can actually better the heart? Maybe that doesn't make sense to you right now; but I'm sure it will, once you read the writing…and you know what…I can say personally; that this is true because I have lived it. So, if you'd like to check out this writing, just click on the highlighted title above and be blessed.
Well, I don't know about you; but I'm looking forward to the weekend! Spring has definitely sprung here and I'm hoping to possibly get outside a little in the morning on Saturday; that is, if the April showers don't come first. Lately, I've been in a spring mood…and a planting mood. In fact, I have several tomato plants growing in my kitchen, from some seeds that I took out of a Roma tomato. Right now, they are growing in a couple yogurt cups…and they are up, with several leaves on them. I don't plan on having a regular garden; but I would like to grow a few things, so I can enjoy some fresh salads more often. Also, I have a couple rose bushes out front, where I enjoy picking some pink and red roses to bring into the office, along with a few peony flowers. You know what…when they start to bloom, I will have to take a few pictures and post them on here, so you can see what I'm up to.
Also, just to let you know…I'm not for sure, as to when I'm going to start my "Food for Thought" page; because I feel that God wants me to focus on this page right now; but if we don't start that for a bit; then maybe I will also start posting a few of my recipes on here, along with some quotes and thoughts to encourage you.
I sure hope that you will keep coming back and visiting me! You know…we all need each other, while facing these difficult times…and I would love it, if you would see this page as a refuge from the storm…a place where you can get away from all that is happening in this world, to be inspired…encouraged and brought closer into the presence of almighty God.
As we close our visit, I would like to share a Bible verse with you from Ecclesiastes 4:1, and we read… "So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter." You know…it's bad enough, when we have to experience the cruel power of our oppressors; but it's even worse, when we have to experience this kind of life alone. God and I want you to always know that you have a place here, at the Risen Hope Ministries…and that you never have to feel alone in this lonely world.
Have a great weekend…and if I don't talk with you over the weekend, I will definitely look forward to our visit once more on Monday morning. For now…take care…and ALWAYS know that you are loved! Hang in there with God and I will see ya soon! God bless!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
