When Satan Reminds You That You're No Good

Bible Verses for the Day | I Peter 5:8-9
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9) Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."

Hello everyone! What a great and beautiful morning it is! I sure hope that you are also enjoying your day as well! As we spend some very precious moments alone with God, I pray that He will give us the strength to turn away from the deceptive lies of Satan…lies that attempt to make us believe that we are worthless…that we may truly come to see that we are someone very special in the eyes of God…and that this is all that matters…Amen!
Lately, I guess that Satan has been running out of things to annoy me with, because he seems to be working overtime to remind me of past moments in my life; that had at one time made me feel like nothing. You know…it's amazing, as to what Satan can dream up; but you know…I think that he has forgotten that these past moments have either been forgiven…or they just no longer are a part of my life.
As I look back…about 30 years ago, I do remember a time when I would have believed every deceptive thought that Satan had brought my way…and why; because I already felt like a piece of nothing, due to what I was going through at the time, which actually made it easier for him to prey on me.
One thing that I would like to say to you right now; is if you are struggling to get through the feelings that seem to be convincing you that you aren't worth anything in this life; then I would like to hand over the key that can unlock this prison cell of despair and free you, which is to never allow the weak moments to make you prey to Satan's deceptive lies. Right about now, you are probably saying… "But that isn't always easy." I agree; but when we turn to the One who is stronger than ourselves and these problems we face; then He can give us the strength needed, to keep our spirits standing strong, rather than falling down beneath a problem, whose only aim is to convince us that we are worthless.
Last night, I was thinking on why we choose to believe the deceptive lies of Satan…lies that attempt to convince us that we are worth nothing…and I think it's because we are more alert to the problem than anything else, which is what Satan actually wants. You see…if he can allow the problem to overwhelm us and bring shame into our lives; then this will lead us to the place, where we just might start to believe that we aren't a good person…and if he can get us to this place; then he just might be able to bring us down for good. Remember…Satan needs fuel to ignite what little power he has…and how does it do that…through us and the way we react to the problem…wow!
There have been so many times in my life, when I have dealt with some very overwhelming situations of the past…to the place where it seemed as if one problem just kept stacking on top of another, until I began to feel as if everything was going to come crashing down…and who do you think showed up…just to remind me, as to what a mess my life was…and that I was a piece of nothing because of it all? Yes, you're right…it was Satan…and why do you think he chose to do that? Because he was attempting to finish me off and remove me from the presence of God…and all that God had instore for my life.
One thing we must remember is this…when we come to the place where we allow ourselves to believe that we are no good; then like I've said before…this will only give Satan permission to continue on with his plan…and this is just what we should never allow ourselves to fall prey to.
We must remember that the main reason why we don't always feel good about ourselves is not because we aren't a good person; but rather, it's because of a circumstance…one that was brought about by Satan, to make us believe this. The way I see it; is that this is definitely a trap…one that Satan longs to lure us in with, so he can take us down for good. The question that we need to ask ourselves right now is this… "Are we going to allow our feelings and a weak circumstance, to trap us within other moments of depression and despair, by believing a deceptive lie…that just isn't true?"
As we close our time together today, I want you to know that you are someone very special…otherwise, God would have never had the desire to create you…and today, my hearts prayer for you; is that you will always be able to discern between the deceptive lie that Satan is attempting to make you believe…and the truth of what really is. May you ALWAYS know that you are loved and worth so much in the eyes of God…and may you have a very blessed day! Until we meet again tomorrow…take good care…and I will be looking forward once more, to another great God inspired visit with you!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
