VERSE FOR THE DAY
"He brought me up also out of a horrible pit,
out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock and established my goings." Psalm 40:2
Hello everyone…and how is your Monday! Praise God for new beginnings…and a chance to leave our yesterdays behind; that we might experience the newness of God's presence, in another brand-new day…amen!
You know…for so many years of my life, I have walked down a road that has led me at times to beauty and sunshiny moments…only to take me directly out of the sunshine and lead me to cloudy skies, storms and ruts in the way…moments where it became a struggle to press on and to even wonder, as to why God was allowing this difficult time of travel.
I don't know about you; but lately, I have been feeling that the road I've been walking down has been leading me to ruts in the way, which can make it difficult to understand what is truly taking place at the moment. In fact, these ruts definitely have a way of slowing a person down, which can be Satan's way of keeping us stuck in the muck and mire of these moments of despair.
Last night, as I was spending some quiet moments alone with God before bed, I began to share these feelings with Him…and even into this morning. As I've been sitting here quietly in His presence, I began to see more and more, as to how deceptive Satan can truly be. It's not only amazing, as to how he can walk us into life's ruts…where life has a way of standing still in uncertainty; but it's also amazing, as to how he can detour our thoughts and make us wonder what God is up to, while he's the one that has been up to no good all along.
We must realize, as I am realizing even more right now; that uncertainty or any other negative thought or feeling doesn't come from God. In fact, I believe it's a plan by Satan to get us to stop in our tracks and make us believe that this is where life ends. In other words, it's his way of keeping us from moving forward. Think of it this way…when we drive a car and get stuck in a deep rut in the road, we will find it difficult to get that car moving…that is, until we realize what is keeping us there. Once we know what is taking place and how it can be fixed; then we can leave that deep rut behind and move on.
You know…maybe the reason why you and I struggle so much, after finding ourselves in a rut; is because we just spend too much time focusing on the rut and what put us there; that we have become sidetracked and stuck in that moment of time…to the place where Satan can use these moments even more against us. Rather than focusing on where we may be at the moment…maybe it's time to see what is keeping us stuck there, so we can allow God to lift us up and out of the rut and establish our ways once more.
Right now, as I'm looking out to a beautiful day…after sharing some great God inspired words with you; I am feeling as if I am now coming out of a deep rut…one that Satan longed to keep me in, as a means of stopping me from sharing these beautiful words with you today.
You know…this morning, as I was getting ready for our visit, I was being reminded that life isn't probably going to get easier as time passes by…for we are definitely living in the end times; but one thing that God has shown me for sure; is that life can be easier, when we let Him lift us out of these moments that seem almost impossible to get out of on our own. Rather than trying to spin our wheels and figure a way out of these ruts we've found ourselves in; let's turn to the One whose power is greater, than the one who once placed us in these deep ruts of despair.
One thing I can say to you right now; is that I'm more than ready to start my day…and I praise God for such wisdom! Just remember one thing as we close this time together…nothing or no one can ever be greater than Almighty God. Just knowing this, will help us to keep our hearts and minds free from the clutter that Satan attempts to deceive us with.
Well…I sure hope that you have enjoyed this time with me today, just as I have with you…and even more, I hope that you will come back tomorrow and enjoy another great visit, as we spend some more precious moments together with God! Have a very blessed day…and always know in your heart that God loves you so much! God bless!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
