Hello everyone…and how is your Tuesday? This morning I want to praise God for this brand-new day…one where my yesterday has now opened me up to something brand new. One of my very favorite Bible verses that goes along with this is found in Isaiah 43:10 and we read… "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." What hope we've been given, as we begin our visit together today!
Last night, as I was preparing to go to bed; for some reason, I just felt like sitting up for a little while and writing. As I sat there, I began to thank God for the day that He had brought me through…and from there, I began to jot down some thoughts in my journal. It seems like lately; I've still been struggling with some overwhelming feelings…probably due to the sickness and pain I've recently experienced. I don't know about you; but when I feel like this…these feelings have a way of making me feel locked up within the problem, as if I'm in a world of my own…one where no one can understand what is truly taking place but me.
You know…I think we all tend to experience a time once and a while, where we look around us and see others that never seem to experience the difficult times, we're facing…and moments like these can sometimes lead us to a place where we feel isolated in a world of our own…one that can make us feel desperately lost within each problem we're facing at the time.
One thing I can say to you today, as a means of encouragement; is that even though we tend to experience moments such as these…there is hope…and we do not have to feel alone, due to the actions and responses of others; because there is One who is more than willing to step into our world and be there for us, when others just don't always understand or care. One thing I know for sure; is that God understands our lives even more than we could ever understand ourselves; because He is the One who made us and knows when something is broken from within.
As I've been sitting here with you today; God has taken me back to an old hymn that's always been a favorite of mine and it's titled… "No One Understands Like Jesus" and today, I would like to share a few of the lyrics with you…and we read… "No one understands like Jesus, when the foes of life assail, you should never be discouraged; Jesus cares and will not fail. No one understands like Jesus, when the days are dark and grim. No one is so near, so dear as Jesus; cast Your every care on Him." I remember singing this song to myself many times, while going through the hard and difficult moments of my life…and you know, there is something about singing these words to oneself; for they begin to truly minister to the heart, in a way that no other can encourage…that is, no one but Jesus.
Maybe today, you are also experiencing some very overwhelming times in your life…and it's gotten to the place where you feel isolated from the real world. Maybe you feel that no one cares or could ever understand what you are going through right now. I know where you're coming from, because I have been there and it's not a good place to be. The one thing that I would like to say to you today; is to let Jesus into your world…the world that only seems to be the place where you and the problem resides; and one thing I know for sure; He will fill that empty world with Himself and He will be there for you.
I don't know about you; but I have really enjoyed my visit with you today…and I hope that you will return tomorrow, for another great visit together! Until we meet again…may the good Lord bless and keep you close to Him! God bless your heart so much!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
