Hello everyone…and how are you doing today? I sure hope that your day is off to a great start! As I've been sitting here this morning…preparing to share my heart with you, I've been reading a few thoughts that God gave me before going to bed the other night…and as I was reading these words on a piece of paper beside me, I also began to think on the struggles that some of you may be facing right now; and one thing I know…times such as these can definitely make us feel as if we will never get through the moments that are standing before us.
The other day…after finishing some ministry work and a little cooking for the evening, I knew that there were a few other things that needed to be done…things that I wasn't able to do, while being sick last week. After finishing everything in the kitchen, I thought to myself…I will catch up on those other things in a couple of days; because I was still feeling weak, from all that my body had recently been through.
Anyways…later, as I was sitting out in the living room…taking a short break, I began to feel pumped up…and the thought of doing those things that I didn't think I could accomplish…all of a sudden seemed to be bringing me to my feet. I would say that within an hours' time, I had not only accomplished what needed to be done; but one other thing too. After seeing what I could do, while still feeling so weak; God began to once more take me back to the words that He had recently given me…and these are the words that He shared with my heart a few nights ago… "We truly see that we can do all things through Christ, when we think we can't do something; but yet, we discover we can."
You know…I don't think we realize how powerful our words can be. For example…what do you think is actually happening, when we say the words "I can't?" I would say that these words are instantly allowing Satan to put up a roadblock between us and God. We need to remember that we can do ALL things through Christ. Yes…there may be times when we experience overwhelming moments that make us feel as if we can't move forward and do what needs to be done; but instead of giving into these moments that seem so hopeless, we should be turning our thoughts back to Philippians 4:13, which says… "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
I have a quote that I wrote some time back and it goes like this… "My body may be getting old. I may not be rich…and the trials I go through may not always be easy; but I'd rather give praise to my God, rather than bow down to my weaknesses." What a great reminder for all of us…to never give into weakness; but instead…take hold of a strength that is greater than weakness…one that comes from a strong and powerful God!
I don't know about you; but I needed these words today; and I thank God today for encouraging us all. I sure hope that you will come back again tomorrow and pay me another visit…and see what God may have in store for all of us, as we once more begin another new day together! For now…take care and have a very blessed day!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
