Hello everyone…and how are you doing today? It's so good to be back with you again for another visit! You know…sometimes I can enter this office in the morning and feel brought low, due to the daily health issues that I experience; but when I leave this room, it's as if God has truly renewed me in His spirit…so I praise Him for these God inspired visits that we share with each other each day!
Last night…before going to sleep, I sat in the quiet and peaceful presence of God. After thanking Him for all He had brought me through that day, I began to settle back and rest this tired body of mine. As I laid my head on the pillow, it was as if God was beginning to show me what He was longing for me to share with all of us today.
As I wrote each thought down on a tablet near my bed, I began to see that we not only need to vent at times; but we also need to come together and encourage one another, especially during these times in which we are living in. I don't know about you; but this sounds really good to me today…so, let's begin with a Bible verse that God has shared with my heart this morning…and then we will see where He leads us from there. So, the Bible verse that I would like to share with you as we begin is found in Deuteronomy 31:6…and we read… "Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."
After reading this verse once more, I've been reminded of some moments in the past, when I used to be so tired of being strong…that is, until I came to see that it's not my strength that makes me strong; but rather, it's God's strength that enters the weakness and makes us strong. As you can see…there is a big difference between being strong on our own and letting God's strength make us stronger. I don't know about you; but there used to be times in my life, when I would dread another problem…knowing that I just wasn't strong enough to fight one more thing…while never realizing that even though those times weren't easy; there was One who could make it easier for me.
I think that the 2 things we struggle with the most, while facing a hard and difficult situation; is to be strong and to not fear the times we're facing. Isn't it amazing as to how our strength begins to plummet instantly, while fear begins to pop up within us, after being confronted with a difficult problem? The words that I believe God is using right now to encourage us all; is where it says… "…for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."
You know…I don't know about you; but there can be times when I find myself caught up in moments of pain and the fatigue that attempts to take me down; that I tend to forget that God is right there in the midst of it all. In this verse today, we are being encouraged with words that say that God will always be with us; and even more…He will never fail us or forsake us.
We all have our moments…moments when we just can't take one more thing; but times such as these shouldn't discourage us and take us down to nothing, when there is One who is stronger than us…and especially the weaknesses we face. I think we just need to regroup our thoughts and get back on track with God and let Him be for us…in the way that He has always promised to be through His word.
Lately, I have been facing some very difficult times, especially when it comes to chronic pain; but you know…I have seen God step in and make a way through that pain…or whatever else may be attempting to take me down at the time…and I've also come to see that the reason for why He sometimes allows these moments in our lives; is because He is longing for us to let go and let Him have His way.
Recently, I was facing a very difficult situation with the ministry. After doing all that I could to do, to fix what was wrong, I finally decided that it was time to go to bed and leave it with God. As I closed my eyes, it was if God was speaking to my heart, with that still small voice…saying, "Diane, let go…rest and let it all go." From there, I let go completely and went to sleep…and within a short time, the problem had been completely resolved. So, my word of encourage to you today; is to let go and let God override the weakness you're facing with His strength…and know in your heart that it is He that doth go with thee…the One who will never fail or forsake you…Amen!
Today, I thank God for entering our visit, with these great words of encouragement…and my prayer for you today; is that you will truly be encouraged and uplifted, through every word you have read! May you truly have a blessed day with the Lord…and I hope that you will join me once more tomorrow, for another great God inspired visit together! God bless you so much!
It's Always & Only Because of Him…
