A Humble Birth that Brought Great Hope...

12/8/2017

Bible readings...
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” Matthew 1:21-23

Hello everyone and welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…thru the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that you’re having a good Sunday and that God will truly touch all of our hearts, as we spend some quiet moments alone with Him today!

You know…the circumstances we face in this life, can truly relay a message to us of no hope. We can become so caught up, in the symptoms of our physical and emotional needs; that before we know it, we have entered a place, where we lose complete hope.

As I was sitting here today…thinking on what God would have me share with you; He took me back to a time…thousands of years ago…to a place where His birth brought hope, into the midst of the world’s darkness.

For many years, many people waited for the birth of the Messiah and now that He has come and given His all for us, we still seem to find ourselves sinking beneath the muck and mire of our problems…giving up and never really looking beyond them, for the gift of hope that Jesus so longs to offer us.

I don’t know about you; but I find it helpful at times, to just sit back…relax and think back to these moments, when Jesus truly became everything, for all of us. It’s amazing how the overwhelming moments of despair can begin to fade into the background of our lives, while the light of God’s presence begins to reveal the hope that He gave to us, so many years ago.

I wonder why we choose to allow our problems to take us down, when Jesus has actually given us a reason to praise Him, even in the midst of the problem? Yes…we may suffer pain and deep heartache; but we must also remember the hope that came into this world…so many years ago…a hope that should give us a reason, to sing praises to Him this Christmas and all year round.

Just think what it would be like, to walk thru the darkness of a circumstance, with no hope…and that is what definitely would have happened, if Jesus would have never come into this world. Now that thought alone, would give us a reason to sit in the muck and mire of despair; but I have news for you today…that didn’t happen; so there is no excuse for us to wallow down…beneath the weight of our problems.

As we begin to celebrate Christmas this year, why don’t we make this a time, to clean out the clutter within the heart and make room for Jesus? Once we choose to sweep out the cobwebs of the past and dismantle the thoughts and feelings that keep us stuck within those dark rooms of the heart; then I truly believe that joy will open up the windows of the heart; so the Holy Spirit can once more enter and remain within the heart…to comfort us…help us and heal us.

Today, let’s begin anew and turn our moments of despair into joy! This Christmas let a heart of praise shout out… “Joy to the world…because our Lord has come to us…to be everything, for everything we need! I know that when we choose to rejoice and focus on the hope that has already been given to us, we will not only have a good Christmas; but we will always have a reason to keep pressing on…despite the problems that stand before us! Praise God!!
Blessings on your Sunday!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
