Hello everyone…and a big welcome today to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I am so glad that you were able to come and join me today…and my prayer for you; is that you will find a piece of hope, while you’re here; that you can hold tightly to, while facing the struggles and challenges of this life!

You know…we all experience moments in our lives, when we feel as if God will never answer our prayers. These moments can make us feel as if we are alone in a waiting room…waiting for God to step out and give us the answers we so desperately need. One thing that God has truly shown me lately; is that sometimes we just need to stand still and let God begin the work that needs to be done…in order that our prayers may be answered.

A while back, I was facing some very difficult times in my life…and there was one day, when everything had finally taken a toll on me. It seemed like I came to the place, where I became silent…with really no words to say. In fact…I was so drained, from all that had taken place, throughout the past several days; that I found it exhausting, to just open my mouth and speak.

As I went to bed that evening…I just went into my room and turned the lights off and went to bed… and never spoke a word to God. For some reason, I felt as if God wanted me to just be silent and let go of everything and get some rest…so I did.

The following morning, as I woke up, I began to almost dread the day; but for some reason, I was once more beginning to see a glimpse of hope. As I continued into my day…it seemed like everything that had been tangled and twisted up, over the past several days, was now unraveling into something much better.

As I sit here right now…visiting with you, I can truly say that since those moments of silence…everything has turned around and life seems to be going in a better direction. In one of our Bible readings today…in I Samuel 12:6, we read “Now therefore stand and see this great thing, which the Lord will do before your eyes.” This is exactly what had happened to me a while back. As I laid there in my bed…silent before a loving and caring God; I then began to see the greatness of a powerful God…working in my life…right before my very eyes.

You know…sometimes I think that we are either too busy talking to God; that we don’t take the time to listen…or, we are too busy trying to figure out the problem on our own. Either way…do we realize that we are becoming a road block…a road block that is keeping the powerful presence of a great and mighty God, from working within our lives.

You know…one thing I’m sure we have all experienced at one time or another…is how difficult it can be to wait on God. I think that we as humans long to have our questions answered right away; so when we don’t…it’s amazing how many negative thoughts begin to flood our minds…thoughts that only discourage us and cause us to go out on our own…distant, from the One who can easily become the remedy, to every difficult and overwhelming situation we face. If only we could just know within our hearts and minds; that God won’t allow us to go over the edge of the cliff; then just maybe, we would find the strength to remain quiet and still, while trusting God completely.

No matter what you’re facing today…try taking some time, to just sit quietly in the presence of God. Let Him read the tablet of your heart and the feelings that are etched within the wall of your heart; so He can begin to do the work; that only He can do. I truly believe that once we are willing to do this; then God will see our true trust in Him and begin to do a work that will soon cause us to stand speechless, in the presence of a God, who can truly make all things work on our behalf.
Blessings so much on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
