Sheltered in Arms of Love...

9/1/2017

Bible readings...
“The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.” Deuteronomy 33:27
“Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.” Deuteronomy 33:12

Hello everyone and welcome today, to Sunday Inspiration…through the Risen Hope Ministries! I pray that your day is off to a good start and I pray with all my heart that you will experience a connection with God today; that you have never experienced before…a connection that will disconnect you from the things that are attempting to keep you down!

How many of us can say today; that we try and weather the storms of life alone? You know…we pray and ask God for His help; but are we truly turning to Him or are we standing out in the storm…trying to be brave and strong on our own?

One thing I have come to see over the years; is that no matter how strong of a person we are…we just aren’t strong enough to go through the fierce storms that come our way and the longer we attempt to hang on by ourselves…the more we experience the negative thoughts and feelings that only keep taking us further down.

I don’t know about you; but I’m not going to take shelter from these storms, in a broken down circumstance? Whether we try to brave it alone or take shelter in our problem, by the way we react to it; I think we will find that neither way is going to make our situation any better.

Today, we need to turn away from the storm and run into the arms of God. His arms will lift us up and not only hold us; but I truly believe that they will become wings of love…wings that can transport us away from the storm…to a place, where He can shelter us and keep us safe, until these storms have passed.

Can you say today…that you have experienced the arms of God…wrapped tightly around you? I remember a time in my life, when I was at my worst and as I sat on my bed…clinging to the bed post and crying with all that was within me, it was as if I felt the presence of God close by…wrapping His loving arms around me and holding me close. From there, a calm feeling took over and began to shield me from the fierce storm I was facing at the time.

Did you know that a humble heart; that truly admits their weaknesses to God…becomes the one who is truly running into His arms? I believe with all my heart; that tears not only become a language between us and God; but I also believe that tears show humbleness to God and I believe that when He sees the tears that are falling from within the heart; then He comes running…with arms opened wide…as He waits for us to fall into His arms of great love and mercy. Once we are in His loving arms, we find a shelter that can sustain us through the fiercest storm and as He hides us away from the worst of the storm; His love becomes strong arms that protect us, while keeping us safely sheltered from the storm.

No matter what you’re facing today…don’t try and weather these storms alone because they will only take you down and make it that much harder, to get back up. Instead…why not run into the arms of a God, who loves you…more than you will ever know. His love for you isn’t like a worldly love, where we find it difficult to trust love; but rather, His love is a love that never lets go and I’m sure that once you have entered His arms; you will experience a love that will in itself become the shelter you need, until your storm has passed.

Today…my prayer for you; is that you will truly find God to be everything you need…during your time of need! Run into His arms of love today!
Blessings on your Sunday!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
Diane
