Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Friday to you all! Just think…we made it through another week and we are alive to talk about…what a blessing! This just goes to show that no matter what we go through…and no matter what mistakes we have made; that our God still loves us enough to bring us to this place in time.
As we begin our visit together today, my prayer is that we won’t live with the guilt of past mistakes; but that a new hope will spring up within us…a hope that says that we are loved by a God who will never fail us…despite the things that may go wrong in our lives…Amen!
The other day I was listening to a song titled… “You Still Love Me”…and as I was listening to each word; God was reminding me that no matter how the day goes…and no matter what goes wrong in that day…He still loves us at the end of that difficult day.
So many times, we can experience guilt, due to moments that seemed to have taken us down a wrong path in life. Once we come to see the mistakes that we’ve made, by following that path; we can immediately feel as if God won’t love us anymore; but one thing he reminded me of this morning is this… “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2) in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3) All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4) But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5) made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6) And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7) in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:1-7)
You know…I think that we have a tendency to compare the way that man reacts to our mistakes…to the way that God truly sees our mistakes. I have come to see that our mistakes or what we see as failure, can cause a person to walk away from us and abandon us in a very unforgiveable way, which can make it even more difficult to deal with the wrong that has been done; but on the other hand…I have come to see and experience a God who is more than willing to walk beyond the mistake…to not only love and forgive us; but to use the mistake for something greater in our lives…something that can bring honor and glory back into His name, while strengthening us in that area of our lives that was once weak.
We must remember that we live in an imperfect world…and it’s our weaknesses that cause us to fall prey to evil; but when we can walk with God beyond the mistakes we make in life; then He can truly take hold of our weaknesses and make us stronger through it all. There is one other thing we must remember though, which is this…if we are giving Satan the time of day, while falling prey to the deceptive thought that we are a failure and no good; then how will we ever be able to find the strength we need to press on with God and see the good that can come out of these moments.
One thing I have truly come to see in God; is that He is absolutely not like man and can never be compared to the imperfect love that surrounds us here on earth…for His love is a perfect love that goes way beyond the pain we may have caused Him…to love us and care for us, in a way that can sometimes seem indescribable.
Let’s face it people…we just don’t experience a perfect love here on earth, which can make it so easy for Satan to deceive us…to the place where he attempts to make us believe that because we don’t experience this perfect love here on earth; that we will never find a love that can go beyond our mistakes, to love…forgive and help us through these weak moments in our lives.
No matter what you may have mistakenly done in your life, may I encourage you to not fall prey to the deceptive thoughts that will only lead your heart to a feeling of failure. Instead…truly know that no matter how the day goes…and no matter what goes wrong in your life…God will ALWAYS be there to love you at the end of the day…Amen!
Have a very blessed day…and ALWAYS know that God loves you and will never forsake you! God bless!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
