Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Friday to you all! It’s so good to be with you today…and my prayer for you; is that you will truly come to see how God can be so much greater than a circumstance…Amen!!
Last night, as I laid my head on my pillow to go to sleep, I began to talk with God…as I do many times before bed. After thanking Him for pulling me through a very trying day, I began to share my heart with Him, as to how many people must be suffering right now, due to the results of this Coronavirus. I have to admit that sometimes it’s not always easy to put up with what is happening in our government…and especially to see how some people are more about themselves; then the true Americans that are hurting at this time.
As I continued my talk with God; I began to turn everything over to Him and ask Him to have His way with everything that’s been taking place around me…and from there, He began to give me a gentle reminder, as to how He will always have His way…no matter what way evil may attempt to lead us.
You know…one thing I have come to see lately; is that it can be so easy to fall prey to what is taking place around us…especially if we are watching the news continually. Lately, I have kept myself away from the news, unless it may be something I really need to know; because I have found that this can become a time when Satan works with our thoughts. In fact…it seems that the more we watch the news or become deeply engrossed in what is taking place around us…the more our imagination begins to drag us down roads that haven’t even been determined yet by God.
A Bible verse that really caught my eye today is found in Psalm 108:13, which reads… “With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.” In other words…no matter how bad life may seem…God will win in the end…for He is an undefeated God. It may not be what we imagine it to be; but this powerful God will never be defeated…and this is what we need to focus on each day.
Earlier in the ministry, I used to share something with my readers that read… “Whatever you perceive…you will receive.” In other words…wherever your thoughts take you; that is where you will end up…so if we are focusing on the worst that comes out of the Pandemic; then those thoughts will definitely lead us down a path of needless suffering.
You know...I remember several times in my life, when I would focus on the worst that could come out of the situation that I was facing at the time. In fact…at one moment I was praying for God to make a way…only to turn back to the wallowing hole of despair the next moment…to focus on every little thing that could go wrong. In the end…God did do something that truly made me realize that my thoughts only tortured me, while causing me to follow a path of needless suffering.
We must remember that our God is not a weak God…for He is a God that allowed a giant to be brought down to the ground, with just a simple stone…while closing the mouths of the lions that surrounded Daniel in the lion’s den.
Believe me when I say…that I know how convincing a circumstance can be. In fact, I have seen how a circumstance can paint a dark and dingy picture…one that can make a person believe that there is no way the light could ever penetrate what’s been placed before them; but on the other hand, I have also come to truly see that when I take my thoughts and eyes away from that dark and dingy picture of life…to focus on a God who is rich in power and strength; that is when I begin to anticipate the light…a light that can remove what is deceptive…so the true picture of what God has in store can be seen.
Have a very blessed day…and may you always see God as the true light that can dispel the darkness that surrounds you…Amen!!
