Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Tuesday to you all! As you can see…I am here a little earlier today; but one thing I always aim to do in my life; is to let God’s timing be mine in all things…so as we begin this time together today, my prayer is that His words…at this time, will truly bless each of our hearts…Amen!!
One thing that God has been laying heavily on my mind and heart lately is this… “Why do we worry and try to figure life out on our own, when God already has these moments figured out for us?” In other words…why are we attempting to give this Most High God a to-do list, when He already knows what is best for us?
This morning, as I was looking through some Bible verses; God led me to one in Deuteronomy 31:8, which reads… “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
Don’t we realize that God already sees what is on the other side of the storm? Often, I wonder why we feel the need to suggest to God…as to what needs to be done in our lives, when He is a God that supersedes all things. Just think…here we are…facing a circumstance and if we were to be honest with ourselves…we don’t have a clue, as to how that circumstance can be fixed; but yet, we tend to turn to God and tell Him, as to how we feel it should be done.
I remember a time in my life, when I didn’t see God in the way I see Him now…and there was many a time, when I would go to God with a problem and ask Him to answer my prayer…my way; never realizing that this God knew so much more, than what I could even begin to think on. People…why do we try to tell God what to do, when we are the ones who are going to Him for help?
I have come to see that when we react to a problem in this way; then we are holding the control stick to our own lives, rather than letting go…so God can have control…the control that can truly set us free, from the imprisonment of despair.
I think that if we could focus on this Bible verse in Deuteronomy 31:8…and truly come to believe that the Lord is the One who goes before us and knows even more than what we could ever comprehend or think…that this would also help us to let go and trust God’s ways, rather than our own.
There have been times, when I wonder why we seem to get caught in this snare of always thinking we know what’s best for ourselves…but then God reminds me that this is just another tactic from Satan, to get us sidetracked in life…to the place that we become imprisoned within our own thoughts and ways.
Right now, we all seem to be facing one thing or another…and moments such as these can make us feel lost in the dark; but when we look ahead to the One who is leading the way; we do find that there is a light of hope before us…a light that comes from this most powerful being…a light that can truly see beyond our own sight…One that already knows the remedy to these problems we face.
As God continued to lead me in His word this morning; He once more led me to a beautiful Bible verse in Psalm 139:5…and we read… “You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.
As we close, let me ask you a question. Why do we worry and fear the unknown, when the Lord surrounds us. The hope we truly live with, during difficult times such as these; is that God is there, as He continues to lead the way before us. Many times, I think we suffer needlessly because we don’t trust the One that lives within us…the One who knows all things, even before we do…and the One who already has the right plan that will bring us out of these moments of darkness.
No matter what you may be facing today, may I encourage you to let this settled feeling sink deep within your heart that says; that your God is already ahead of the problem…for He goes before you and will never leave you or forsake you. When we can truly relate to our problems in this way; then there won’t be any need to advise this most powerful being, as to what needs to be done…and in the end, we will truly come to see that He has always been in control and one step ahead of us, from the very start.
Have a very nice day…and may you truly feel and experience the hand of almighty God upon you…God bless!
