Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Monday to you all! I sure hope that your week and this brand new day is off to a great start…and as we begin this time together with God, my prayer is that that we will ALWAYS experience the depth of God’s presence within our hearts and souls…that we may never lack any good thing…Amen!!
Yesterday, as Keith and I were spending some time together with God; He began to speak deep within my spirit…and He reminded me of one thing… “When we truly know that God is our everything; then we won’t have any need of anything else.” In fact…we will be satisfied…knowing that God is our complete source of all things.
As I was being led through God’s word this morning; He led me to a couple verses…and the first one is found in Psalm 23:1, which reads… “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” You know…many of us have read the 23rd Psalm…and have even memorized these verses; but do we truly see the hope that the Lord is offering us through these verses? Just think…when we have the Lord living within us; then we are automatically connected to the One who holds everything within His powerful hands; and remember, He is the One who created these things…so He is the only One who can control these things, which makes Him the main resource for every need we may have; and because of this…we lack nothing.
One thing I have come to see over my lifetime; is that it can be so easy to get caught up in our own way of thinking…to the place where we feel that our needs can only be met a certain way; but what happens when they don’t actually come to pass? I believe that from there; that is when we plummet into discouragement.
Each day, we must remember that God is the only One who is powerful enough to provide for the things that we may lack in this life. In fact…God doesn’t need money alone to help us…for He has so many other resources that He can work with, which I have truly come to see.
As we close our time together, there is one more Bible verse that I would like to share with you and it’s found in Psalm 34:10 and we read… “The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.” In this Bible verse, we see that even the young and strong lion on the prowl gets hungry and isn’t always able to provide for itself; but on the other hand...those who are God-seekers are full of God. In other words…everything that God holds within Himself is now ours; that is, if we are willing to truly turn to Him for it. Now isn’t that something!
You know…there is one thing that God has taught me out of many things…and that is this; He is truly everything, for everything I need. You know…there is one thing that I haven’t quite figured out yet and that is this…why do we accept Jesus into our hearts; but yet we turn to other means for help? Don’t we realize that we have the greatest of greats living within us…the One who can foresee everything, even before it actually happens? Don’t we realize that as He sees these things; that He already has a remedy to the problem? Just think…when we are turning to money alone…or some other means of making it in this life; then we are truly bypassing the complete remedy that He already has awaiting us.
No matter what you are going through at this time, may I encourage you to turn to the One who holds all the resources you need, within His almighty hands? I have truly come to see that when we place our trust in what God is more than capable of doing, rather than what we feel may work; that this is when we will truly come to experience God, in a way that we have never known before…Amen!
Have a very blessed day…and remember that God already knows how to help you; He’s just waiting for you to meet Him there! God bless!
