Good evening everyone! I hope that you've had a nice Saturday! I've had a great day...and I just got here tonight by the skin of my teeth. I know I could have taken the evening off; but I made a promise to you this morning...and I like to keep my word.
If you want to know what kept me so busy today...I was outside with my husband, from about 11:30 on...working on a project that I have been wanting to do for weeks. There used to be a day, when I loved to build things...but these legs have slowed me down. Even though it's been a busy week...and even though I have had quite a bit of pain this week...I was still determined to do, what I had set out to do...and that was to build a small bench, for several of my birdfeeders. I don't know what it is about birds...but I love to watch them while I work...and I find them very relaxing.
Anyways...I have a little more painting to do...but the assembly is done and now I have a little bench, with 2 feeders on the bench and one on a pole behind the bench...and you won't believe this...it didn't cost me a penny because I used scrap wood that we had in the garage...and everything went together beautifully!
You know...one thing I've learned in life; is to pursue and never allow our situations, to dictate our lives. Many times I work in pain or tiredness; but oh the feeling of what we can accomplish through those struggling moments, which makes it worth it all in the end!
In a similar way...how many times do we also pursue peace...a peace that can quiet our spirits and give us the rest we need, for another day? If we are going after every symptom of a problem and pursuing their ways, instead of God's peace; then sad to say...we will reap from what we went after, which will only make our lives more miserable.
May I encourage you tonight, as we end another day, to pursue peace and go after it, until you have it surrounding you...for when we truly find God's perfect peace; then every troubled moment will instantly become calm...to give us the rest that we need.
No matter what you have experienced in this day...pursue peace...and don't give up, until you have found it...and from there, let that peace help you to rest in the presence of God, who can bring you through this night, until you reach a new tomorrow!
Have a great night...take care and I will hope to be with you tomorrow! God bless!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
