Hello everyone…and how are you doing today? I pray that all is well with you and that you will feel the closeness and love that Jesus longs to offer you throughout this brand new day…Amen!
Throughout this week, I have been listening to the President talk on the Coronavirus and how we are at a crucial time in this country…and as my thoughts continued to think on all that has been happening; my mind also began to think on the power of prayer. One thing I wonder today is this…have our prayers only become empty and powerless words, with no hope or faith attached to them? Don’t we realize that our words of prayer need wings of faith and belief, to transport and carry these little messages into the heavens, where God can take hold of them and truly help us during this time of need?
As I was working on the graphic title for this writing; God led me directly to a Bible verse in Jeremiah 29:13…and we read… “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Have you ever had a time in your life, when you misplaced your car keys or some other valuable item? It’s amazing, as to how we will keep looking and looking for what we have lost, until it is found. In fact…I was just thinking that a person who looks for what they have lost, with a heart that truly believes they will find it; is actually a person who is not only determined to find what they have lost; but is also a person who has faith that they will find what they’ve lost; otherwise they wouldn’t keep looking and looking, until the item was found. Well…in a similar way, can we say that we do the same with what we have lost in life…or what has left us empty within? In other words…are we not only willing to pray; but are we even more willing to attach something to those words…something that can help our words to take flight, until these little messages lead us to the answer we need?
Sometimes I think we take prayer for granted. We tend to bow our heads…close our eyes and either beg God for His help…or we just pray, as though we are having a casual conversation with God, rather than pouring our hearts out before Him. Prayer should never become a pomp and circumstance thing; but our prayers should hold meaning, faith and a heart of belief…knowing that these little messages that are being sent to the throne of God, are being felt from our hearts to His.
One thing I’ve come to see within my own life…especially lately; is that when I go to God and lay everything on the line before Him, as a child who needs His Father’s help; that is when I begin to see Him respond back…in ways that truly remind me, as to how real He really is.
I think that one of my favorite times of the day to be with God; is just before I go to bed. I like to dim the lights in my office…and stretch out on the daybed and look out the window…anticipating His presence. From there, I talk to Him about my day and others I have met along the way, while pouring my heart out before Him; then I ask Him to cover me with His wings of love and protect me throughout the night…and you know what? I end up having the best night of sleep ever.
There is a God in the heavens today, who longs so much to connect with you…One who is longing to spend some time with you…to help you through these difficult times we’re facing; so may I encourage you today, to get alone with God and just pour out every thought and feeling before Him. One thing I know…He will meet you there…and when you leave His presence, you will experience the most perfect peace…a peace that can carry you through these hard and difficult times.
Earlier today, as I was spending some time with God; He began to place a thought on my mind that goes like this… “The sun shines brighter than the darkness of the storm,” which means that when we are connected deeply with God; then it doesn’t matter how dark these moments may seem; for it will be His presence that shines the brightest, even throughout the darkest moments of the storm; so go to Him and let Him be everything…for everything you need right now!
May God truly bless your day with His very best…and may you truly feel and experience the peace that comes from connecting closely with God! See ya soon!
Many…many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
