Hello everyone…I hope and pray that you are doing well today! As we commemorate Good Friday…a time when a loving Savior became the complete sacrifice for sin, on an alter called a cross; I pray that we will come to truly experience this love that continues on from that old rugged cross, into each of our hearts…Amen!
As I’ve been sitting here…thinking on what God would have me to share with you today; He was taking my mind back, to a time when I had fallen into a deep…deep pit of despair. This pit that I had fallen into had no way out…at least that was all I could see at the time…and this pit that I sat in; truly made me feel as if I would never see the light of day again. Many times, I tried to climb out on my own; but every time I tried to do so…I just fell back into the depth of that pit, from where I first started the climb. After many tries, I began to feel completely hopeless; as I began to think that I would never make it out of this pit of deep despair.
Through time…and many devised plans of escape…I gave in and began to cry out to Jesus. It was at that moment, when I let go of it all; that He reached deep within my pit of despair…and how did I know it was Him; because the hand that reached for me, was a nail scared hand.
You know…Jesus’ main mission in life was to pay the price for all sin; but it was His open arms on the cross; that truly showed an undying love for us. One of my life Bible verses is in Psalm 40:2…and we read… “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”
Even to this day, we experience the cross; for just as He died to show love and forgiveness…that love continues on, through His loving and compassionate heart for all…and just as He saved us from all sin; He is still with us today…to save us from the moments that almost seem impossible to get through. You see…His love didn’t stop at the cross; but actually, His love came down from the cross and longs to live in our hearts; in a way that can continue to love, save and forgive.
So many times, we celebrate Christmas and that’s where we leave Jesus until Easter comes; but we must realize that thoughts such as these can either keep Jesus in the manger or in the grave. We must realize that Jesus’ mission wasn’t only to save us from sin and show love and forgiveness; but His mission was to continue on from the cross, into each of our hearts, where He could continue to show that same love for us now. Through the very hard and difficult moments of my life, I have truly come to experience One, whose love has rescued me from times that I could have never freed myself from…and even now, as we face these troublesome and uncertain times in life; Jesus longs so much to be the comforter we need, while wrapping us in arms of love…a love that can truly save us, from the deep heartache…of a life gone bad.
No matter what you’re facing today…or no matter how you are struggling through these difficult times; just know that there is a perfect love…one that will never hurt you or walk away; but rather, One who longs to live deep within your heart; where He can be there, to share through the good and bad times of life.
As we close our time together, I would like to give you a link to a webpage, titled “Come to Jesus”…here at the Risen Hope Ministries; where you can experience the love that not only died for your sins; but also a love that longs to continue on within your heart. Let Jesus come in and be everything you need right now…and one thing I promise you; that same love that died on the cross for your sins, will live deep within your heart…and be the best friend and companion you could ever have…One, who will truly be with you, until the very end.
Have a great day…take good care and may God truly be with you! Also…Saturday, I won’t be on; but I invite you to come back on Sunday, for a great God inspired writing, as we celebrate “Resurrection Day!” God bless!
