Hello everyone…and a happy and very blessed Friday to you all! I truly pray that your day is going well…and that you will find the strength through God, to look beyond what stands before you…to focus on how far God has brought you and where He’s about to take you…Amen!!
Yesterday afternoon, I took some time to stretch out on the daybed and let my legs rest. As I was lying there…talking with Keith; I was reminded, as to how we can unknowingly feel that we know the mind of Christ and what He is about to do within our lives.
You know…I remember a time, when I was having my very first knee surgery. I would say that I was only about 10 years old. My dad had to work that day, so my mother and my aunt came to be with me.
Anyways…later in the afternoon, my father walked into my room and stood by my bedside. I was lying back…experiencing a different pain for the first time…and as he rubbed my forehead, he began to say… “Diane, it’s all over now…and just think…you probably won’t have to go through this again.” Little did we know that I would face 20 more surgeries in my lifetime. It just goes to show that we can’t predict what God has in store, for each of our lives.
As I was thinking on all of this yesterday; God began to give me a picture of what our lives are truly like…and this is what He relayed from His heart to mine… “No one knows the final outcome of life…only God; so we should never expect Him to do it our way…for our way right now is only a darkened path of unknown moments before us; that can only come alive and brighten the path, by what God has truly willed for our lives.”
Today, I would like to share a Bible verse with you that God has laid upon my heart…and it’s found in Proverbs 16:1…and we read… “We can make our own plans, but the LORD gives the right answer.”
You know…it’s so easy for us to predict God’s will for our lives. The only thing bad about that is this…what if it doesn’t happen, in the way we first thought? Wouldn’t you say that moments like these will only bring about great disappointment? Believe me when I say…I’ve been through that. I’ve had people pray over me for a healing…and I even remember extending my faith…to the place where I imagined my knee bending again; but it never happened…and why? It wasn’t because God didn’t love me enough to heal me; but it was due to His will…and all that He had planned for my life, which I now see every day. Don’t get me wrong…we should never give up or let go of our faith…and we should always aim our direction, in what could be the very best for us; but then we have to let it go and let God give us His answer…and the response that will truly allow us to live out His perfect will for our lives.
One thing I have come to see in my life; is that His answer hasn’t always been what I desired; but as I see His plan unfold before my very eyes…I truly do see that He did know what was best for me….and every day, I see how He helps and sustains me through it all…and in the end, I will be looking for that new body; that those of us who are Christians will receive.
Life isn’t always easy…is it; but one thing I do know…when we are walking in the will of our Lord, rather than the desires of ourselves; that is when we will truly see the finished and undistorted picture of our lives…the picture that God had planned from the very beginning…praise Him!
Well…time to begin another new day with God! I truly pray that this writing…from His heart to yours, has been of encouragement to you today! May you truly have a great Friday…totally blessed, by the One who loves you so much! Take care and I will hope to be with you soon!
Many…many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
