Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Friday to you all! Praise God for another beautiful day! You know…sometimes, we may not always experience life, in the way we long to experience it; but thank God for the sunshine and the little things He ushers into our day…moments that can brighten; what we may see, as a dreary day within the heart…Praise Him!!
You know…over time, there is one thing that God has truly been teaching me…and that is this… “ When the pain and struggles of this life darken the heart, it’s time to gather in all the little blessings…and together they truly become a flame that sets the heart on fire, while once more bringing a light of hope back into the heart.”
Lately, there have been many nights, when I sit in my office and feel exhausted and sick, from the pain that racks my body. I find that it can be so easy to give into these thoughts and feelings and place my focus on what I’m feeling at the time; but instead of allowing myself to be led down the wrong path…I say to myself… “Diane, it’s going to be alright…for tomorrow is a brand new day.” From there, I turn to God and thank Him, for the hope of another new day…and as I prepare to go to bed; I begin to thank God for His loving presence…and the warmth of our home. There are times, when I even thank Him, for the comfort of a bed…to rest this tired body on; for I know that I could possibly be going through these difficult times on the street, which would make my situation much worse than what I have it now.
As we continue our time together…I would like to share a Bible verse with you, from Philippians 4:8…and we read… “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Today, can we say that we are seeking the things that can fill us with a heart of hope and praise, rather than a heart of despair? One thing I can say for sure…the pain I go through each day, has truly taught me to reach out, for every little blessing I have; for when these blessings are stacked together within my heart; then a flame of hope does help to make the way before me a little brighter….in a way that can truly help me to find my way through life each day.
You know…I have found that we can so easily be attached to the larger blessings; that when they don’t come our way; then the light that once shone so brightly within us…seems to dim and fade out…leaving our hearts with disappointment…to the place where we can easily find ourselves giving up on life altogether. Now isn’t the time to give up; but rather, now is the time to gather together the little blessings and allow them to rekindle a light of hope once more within the heart.
Life may not always be easy…believe me, I know; but I have truly found that there is a hope to cling to; that is, if we are willing to seek it. The Bible says that whatever we seek…we will find; but we will never find the hope that can keep our hearts lit and alive, during the difficult times of darkness, if we only choose to sit in the darkness and give up.
Why not let go of the hurt and disappointment in your life and begin anew, by reaching out for every blessing you can take hold of. From there…lay them within the heart and let them light up the moments that have attempted to keep you imprisoned within darkness. One thing I know for sure; is once we allow these little blessings, to become a light of hope once more within the heart; that is when we soon find the strength and desire, to once more press on…Praise Him!!
As we close this time together, you may be feeling as though all hope is gone. Maybe your circumstance has truly put out the light of hope; that once shone so brightly within your heart. May I encourage you today, to look for the little blessings…blessings that God is using to sustain you through it all. I truly believe that once we seek the good things in life, rather than the things that only continue to take us down; that is when we truly come to see; that we can make it through these trying times in our lives.
Today, I pray that you will have a very blessed day…and that you will truly come to see; that hope can be found, in the little things of life. Have a great Friday…take care and I will hope to be with you again tomorrow!
Many…many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
