Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Friday to you all! I truly hope and pray that your day is off to a good start…and that you will feel…and truly experience the powerful presence of God in your day…Amen!!
As we begin our time together, I would like to PRAISE GOD, for all He’s doing in my life! Last night and this morning, I have had minimal pain…and oh how I praise Him! I’ll tell you people…He’s a good God…that is, if we choose to connect with Him, rather than the circumstances we face!
One thing I have truly come to learn; is that when I am going through some form of circumstance…I need to take the need to God and leave it there; but I also need to listen for His sustaining response.
I would say that about 2 days ago, I was truly seeking God…because the pain in my body was so bad. After pouring my heart out to God…I chose to listen for His response…and one of the first things that came to my thoughts was ginger water. I know that this may seem strange to you; but our God is a God, who can work in many different ways…even through the simple and unusual things of life.
Anyways, I chose to try it...so for the past two days, I’ve been drinking the ginger water 3 times a day…and you know what…the pain has been gradually lessening. I don’t care what anyone says…when we are not only willing to give our needs to God; but also willing to listen for that still small voice that comes from His presence; then I believe with all my heart; that these moments will become the remedy to our hurting hearts…bodies…souls and spirits.
This morning, as I was thumbing through some Bible verses; God led me to several Bible verses in Proverbs 2:1-5…and we read… “My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; 2) so that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; 3) Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; 4) If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; 5) then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.”
You know…I think we tend to seek after the circumstance, even more than God. If we were to stop and think on how we react to these moments of affliction; I think that we would come to see that we are pursuing the problem and inclining our thoughts and hearts, to what that problem is attempting to convey to us.
One thing we truly need to remember; is that when we pursue the problem…the problem only worsens with time; but when we choose to pursue God…through the problem; later, we do come to see that we are being led away from these moments of despair, to experience the remedy to that problem.
I remember a time in my life, when I never listened to anyone, except for myself and the problems I was facing at the time. As I look back…there is one thing I clearly see…and that was where those problems led me, due to my response to the problems. I truly believe that I could have come out of those devastating moments much quicker, if only I would have chosen to listen to God instead.
You know…it’s bad enough that we have to experience these hard and painful times in our lives...but it’s even worse, when we choose to walk down the path of needless suffering. We must realize today; that the direction we choose to take in life will either intensify the problem or become the remedy to what is hurting us...and I don’t know about you; but I choose to listen to God and discover the true remedy that can help me. Ask yourself this question today… “Why am I going to God with this need…only to follow after my own ways…or the ways of this circumstance?” We are either going to allow God to put out the fire of affliction…or we are going to add more fuel, to a bad fire that is already burning, by connecting deeply with our problems…the choice is up to us.
Today, I pray that we will allow our thoughts to be shut off, to what the problem is attempting to convey to us; that we may clearly hear the voice of God within our spirits…a voice that can truly become the remedy we need, during these troubling times…Amen!!
Well…time to begin my day! I truly pray that you will experience the mighty…loving and powerful presence of God in your day! See ya soon!
Have a great Friday…and many blessings on your day!
It’s Always & Only Because of Him…
