Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Friday to you! Well…we made it to the end of another week…praise God! You know…sometimes we can feel as if we aren’t making it…that is, until we look behind us and see the miles we’ve already traveled through life. Praise God…that He is ALWAYS there to help and sustain us, through the difficult times of life!!
I don’t know about you…but there can be times in my week, when I find myself thanking God, for bringing me through a difficult time…only to turn around and wonder how I will get through other days ahead.
As I was getting around this morning, I was beginning to feel the pain in my foot from yesterday, which can truly take hold of my thoughts and cause me to grow discouraged…especially at the end of a week, when I’m already tired….but you know what…it seemed as if instantly, God began to speak to my spirit and say… “Focus on what you’ve already accomplished, rather than what may still lie ahead of you….and in that way, you will find the hope you need, for the unfinished moments that you will soon face.” Instantly, I came into my office and wrote this down…and as I did; God also led me to a Bible verse in Matthew 6:34, which says… “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
You know…this verse is so true…because we can find ourselves overloading our thoughts, with not only the cares of the day…but other things that haven’t even arrived…and before we know it, we find ourselves wanting to give up on it all.
One thing God has been teaching me lately; is to just live for the moment and the day I’m now in…because that is truly enough to deal with. One of many things that I have come to see through life’s lessons; is that when I follow through with God, rather than the cares of this life; then life doesn’t seem so burdensome.
Many years back, when I first began this ministry, I used to not only think about the day…but sometimes the whole week. I came to quickly see that these thoughts weighed me down so low; that I could barely keep going; then one day, God began to show me that when we step ahead in life; it’s as if we are not only stepping into unknown territory but also the darkness of the unknown. In other words…when we try to live for days that haven’t even been created by God; then we are only making ourselves decoys, in this unknown territory…where Satan can freely step in and work with our thoughts and imaginations.
No matter what we walk through…and no matter how difficult life may seem; we must remember the words of this Bible verse in Matthew 6:34…and stop in our tracks…turn back to the existing day and take life one minute at a time. When we do this…we not only keep ourselves from needless suffering; but we also come to see that we are always in sync with God.
I don’t know about you…but I have enough to deal with from day to day…and I just don’t need anything more added to the stack; so as I begin my day, I choose to walk in God’s footprints, rather than my own…that I may only live, for what He has set before me. I truly believe that when we choose to live each day in this way; then we will come to see that life can be much easier to walk through…even when there are obstacles in the path.
Well…I’m off to the kitchen, to prep some things for dinner tonight…so I will see you later. I truly hope and pray that your day will be blessed by God, as you take life…one step at a time! Take care and I will hope to be with you soon!
Have a great Friday & God bless!
