Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Friday to you all! I hope that your week has been going well…and I pray even more; that you will truly come to see each day; that nothing can supersede the light of God’s awesome presence in your life…Amen!!
Life has seemed a little dark lately for me; but when I look out my window; I see the beauty that God has brought me in this brand new day. It’s a gift…one to cheer the hurting soul and become a reminder that the light of God’s loving presence always surrounds us, even in the dark and trying moments of despair.
Oh how we miss the beauty of a new day…only because we are caught up in the dark moments of circumstance. A dark circumstance can definitely attempt to make us believe that what God has placed before us doesn’t even exist; but I have found that when I look beyond the darkness and truly soak in the moments that God has brought before me; I begin to see that hope surrounds me and is continually leading me into something better.
As I’ve been thumbing through some Bible verses…God led me to a verse in Psalm 91:7, which says… “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.”
I truly believe that no matter how much darkness surrounds us…there is a light that surrounds and sustains us too…and it’s a light that truly has control over that darkness. We all need this hope each day…a hope that can help us to see that there is no form of darkness that can separate us or take us down and away from the light of God’s awesomeness.
Oh how our minds become so caught up in what could take us down; that we easily forget that nothing can take down the One that lives within us. I have come to see that a form of darkness is only meant to convince us that the sun will never shine again and to lead us down paths of no hope; but these are only deceitful thoughts…thoughts that hold no power…only what we allow.
Right now, as I look out my office window unto a beautiful day; I don’t see the dark moments that have attempted to take me down this week; but rather, I see God’s artistic beauty surrounding me. When I see how every shadow from a tree lies across the lawn…and how every color and shape has been put in its rightful place…to become the portrait I now view before me; I am reminded that there is a presence that far outweighs the presence that has attempted to have control over my life.
Oh how we need to reconnect with God…the One who longs to lift us out of darkness and fill us with the light and hope…of a presence that can keep us suspended high above these forms of darkness. Just think what life would be like, if we could only look for the light…in the way we perceive darkness.
One thing I know without a doubt; is that life is not easy…and can easily become a challenge; but when we can connect with God…in a way that causes our thoughts and hearts to soar above these dark circumstances; then we will truly come to see that there is something greater…something that can brighten these darkened paths and help us to see life in a different light.
No matter what you may be walking through…and no matter how dark the path…may I encourage you to look up…because no matter what may crumble down around you…it will not come nigh thee…and why; because the light of God’s presence shines in the darkness…and the darkness can never overcome it. (John 1:5)
Have a very nice day…and a very blessed weekend!
