Hello everyone...what a great day it's been! Today, I've been truly experiencing God's faithfulness...even in the midst of affliction.
Yesterday, I came in my office...to spend time alone with God. While I was sitting on the daybed near the window...I decided to just let everything go from deep within me. As each tear fell; somehow I knew that these tears were becoming a humble sacrifice before God; that I truly needed His help.
After I left the office, I went out in the living room, to do some leg and foot stretches and ice the foot. Seems like since I had the rod put in my right leg; I'm now having a problem with my plantar fascia, which is like a ligament on the bottom of the foot.
Anyways...as I began to work at this foot...I noticed that by this morning, the pain levels were coming down and even the swelling...and by the way, if you need to ice your foot; the best way to do that; is take a clean 2 liter bottle...fill it 3/4 full of water and freeze it; then when it's frozen, take it and lay it on it's side...and the arch of your foot will fit right around the curvature of the bottle...and there are no water leaks.
Anyways...again, as I continued to do everything I could to help the foot...God began to bless it even more. I still have some swelling today and some pain...but not like yesterday. I don't believe that it was only through my actions; that God helped this foot; but I also believe it was from one humble spirit to another; that caught God's attention.
How many times, do we choose to hang onto whatever we're facing at the time? We seem to stand tough and strong on our own...until we can no longer stand up against the difficult moments that are standing before us...and then we fall apart and cry out...begging for God's help.
You know...sometimes, we just need to humbly fall powerless before Him; so His power can kick in and finish what needs to be accomplished in our lives. I'll tell you...I never saw God go to work so fast in my life...like He did yesterday. This goes to show that He does see our tears...and as these tears become a humble message before Him; He does come running...to rescue us from the overwhelming moments of despair.
No matter what you may be facing right now...may I encourage you, to not hold tightly to it. If you do...it will just be you and the problem. Instead...fall down before this loving and powerful God and let Him know, as to how much you truly need His help...and one thing I know...He will come running...to help you through the moments that are just too strong for you to handle alone.
Well...this has been a beautiful day! This afternoon, the yard has been full of birds and squirrels, as blankets have been freshening outside in the sunshine...and you know what...that sunshine isn't only outside my window today...it's also in my heart!
Have a great day...and many, many blessings on day!
It's Always & Only Because of Him...
