Hello everyone…and a very happy and blessed Thursday to you all! Well…another new day stands before us and as we begin this brand new day together, I pray that we will stand confident…knowing that no matter what we may face in this life…the battle has already been won…Amen!!
As we begin our time together today, I would like to ask you a question. Why do we fear the things that are taking place around us…and why do we feel that these battles will take us down for good, when Jesus has already won the battle? We need to remember that no matter what takes place around us…or no matter what may attempt to convince us that we are defeated…those battles have already been won…and they have been won since the time of the cross. In John 16:33, we are reminded of this…where Jesus says… "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." So in this verse, we are already being warned that there will be tough times; but at the same time…hope is being given to us in advance, as we are being reminded that Jesus has already overcome it all. You know…some may say… “If Jesus has already won the battle; then why am I still in the midst of the battle? What we must remember; is that Jesus has a plan…a plan that can change people’s lives and even this world for the good; but in order for that to happen…sometimes we must walk down a long, hard and difficult path, to see what He is trying to show us, rather than what we think He wants us to know. Remember what it says in John 16:33…we will have trouble; for He never promised us a perfect life; but at the same time, He is handing us a piece of hope to help us through those difficult times…and that hope is conveying a message to us that He has already overcome it all, which also reminds us that we will never be defeated. You know…sometimes we can be so caught up in this life; that we forget what took place at the cross. In John 3:16, we are reminded that… “…God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just think…God gave up the One that was the closest to Him…His Son, Jesus Christ…and His Son gave up everything for you and me; that we may not be defeated and brought to nothing. See…Jesus has already won it all for you and me…and at the same time; He has given us a piece of hope to hold to…a hope that can free our hearts and minds, from the trouble we would possibly face in life…a hope that could give us life everlasting with Him. All we have to do is believe it…receive it and know in our hearts; that no matter what we face in this life…it will never defeat us; but rather, it will walk us into something better…and how can that be; because Jesus’ death on the cross has already overcome every little thing that you and I would experience here on earth. So let me ask you…why do you feel that you have already lost the battle, when Jesus has already won it out of love for you? Have a very blessed day…and always remember that these battles we face have already been won...for Jesus overcame them all at the cross! It’s Always & Only Because of Him… Diane Comments are closed.
