Happy Thursday everyone...and a very "Happy 4th of July" to you! For those of you who have or are serving this country...I would like to thank you so much for your service!
My husband has served most of his life in the military...both active duty and civilian...and I will never forget a moment, when he was able to bring me on base, to stay with the wife of someone in the military. At this time, my husband had ended his active duty but was working as a heavy equipment operator at the Air Force base.
As this other military's wife and I were preparing lunch, for these hard working men; I remember passing by a door in the house and as I looked out; there was her husband and mine...working on a road...outside of their home. As I stood there and watched them, I remember the feelings I felt...as I was so proud, of all my husband had and was accomplishing in his life, for this country.
You know...we need to take the time, to shake the hand of someone, who has give up so much more than us, for this country called America. This country may not always be perfect in it's ways; but we still enjoy our lives each day...because of those who have given up so much; that we may live in freedom...and that is one thing we should never take for granted! May God ALWAYS bless this great country called AMERICA!!
